Uhhh, Kara was nearly already done since before Nicole and Jiyoung left.  Youngji didn't help the group as a whole much.  They had little to lose by leaving.  Nicole has wanted to leave DSP since 2011, anyway.

 

Anyway, it's a slightly odd photo but she still looks more or less like herself.  I'm not sure why people thinks she looks particularly skinny, either.  I don't see it in her face, at least.
