Your friend's crush confessed to you...

What would you do?

I have a really fun and outgoing best friend. She has been crushing on this guy we knew (our classmate) for 3 years now. I was sitting next to him so I did my job as a good friend and gather information for her by befriending him because she asked me to do that. I also helped her secretly putting the gifts under his table for his birthday, christmas, valentine and such. I truly wish they would get together because it's really rare for my friend to go such length for a guy. But then all of the sudden, he hugged and confessed to me last friday after our class ended. I was so shocked that I wasn't able to answer when he told me to think about it then left. My friend, she's on a vacation with her family since last week so we only contact each other through texts. I really don't know if I should tell her this or not... And about that guy, how should I answer him? We're currently having a break so I still have some time before I have to face them again...

here's the thing, if you don't like him, than don't accept his feelings. maybe even tell him personally that your friend is the one that likes him. but if you do have feelings for him that's another story.

NOOOOOO? not that tbh.. it's not gonna end well in that case  :omg:

as a straight forward person, that's what i'd do. sometimes boys just need a push in the right direction to get it. and you never know how things will turn out until you let them turn out.

she doesn't have the right to confess on behalf of someone else tbh.. Her friend can do that personally  if she wants to.. And if he likes op, knowing that the other girl is in love with him isn't going to make him like her.. He'll most likely think he lost his chance with her because of her friend.. That's not what she wants to..

Op, if you don't like him. reject him without telling your friend.. After awhile, just tell her to befriend him (she should've done that from the beginning instead of asking you tbh) and hopefully she'll confess to him at some point... It'll depend on him after that though

Oh and a direct response to your question..

Well, it obviously seems that you care for your friend more, (honestly u r doing so much for her wth do u like her or something)

so in order to not break the friendship you should prob reject the guy, unless you have feelings for him too. (nice drama if so)

Reject him cutely, because you're friends now, right? And, if he agrees to hang post-rejection, try to push your friend towards him.

And, about your friend - this happening is a bit her fault for pushing you in his direction, but I think she's going to hate that he confessed to you. Anyway, inform her immediately before she comes to know from someone else. Don't say sorry to her, it was not your intention.

Honestly there isn't much of a problem on your behalf, that's of course assuming you don't like him (which is the most vital information here and you have conveniently avoided sharing that). In you situation I would just tell your friend about what happened, and restrain from helping her again with this guy it obviously didn't work and if possible I would limit my contact with that guy as much as possible. You don't have to do the last part if you already consider him a friend but in my case I wouldn't have a problem in ditching the crush of a friend just for my best friend.

So yeah, just reject that guy and talk your friend about it, if she likes she need to befriend him, not you. You've done nothing wrong so I believe you shouldn't be feeling bad about it or hiding it from your friend.

I'm also a straight forward person and that's what I would do as well. I'm a guy by the way so I don't know if girls tend to keep this stuff concealed but I prefer to cut the crap and tell things how the are. Although I wouldn't have participated in this cupid crap either, if I friend asked me for help I would encourage him since the beginning to engage her or just straightly tell the girl that my friend likes her (I've doe that a lot lmfao).

However in this case it would be better if this girl first talks about with her friend about what happened, then I would tell her she needs to confess him, or at least talk to him, otherwise I won't participate in this and if he confesses again I'm to tell him that she likes him.
