AOA talk about negative comments, better than no comments at all?

AOA revealed that it gets a lot of negative comments since the group′s return with a sexy concept. 

Attending SBS Power FM’s Old School on January 20, AOA was asked how people have been responding to its new sexy concept. 

AOA’s Jimin said, “We’ve been getting a lot of negative comments. But that still shows that people are interested in us. We used to get no comments at all before.â€

Then the DJ tried to cheer them up by saying, “Nothing is sadder than getting no comments. I think the negative comments will go away on their own eventually.â€

 

AOA also said, “We were far away from being sexy in the beginning. We even had to practice our facial expressions as we challenged ourselves for the sexy concept. Our reference included Kim Wan Sun, Ivy, Lee Hyori and Uhm Jung Hwa.â€

AOA is from FNC, home of successful idol boybands CNBlue and FTIsland (well, once).  They must hate that they couldn't translate the band concept over to a girlgroup directly.

yea it's sad that there can't be a successful girl band in Korea that's mainstream, which is why some fans are angry at AOA's sexy comeback

 

I haven't paid much attention to japan music in years

 

the only names of japanese girl musicians that I remember are Yui, Scandal, Stereopony
