Is there any dish or food that is becoming popular or in trend in your country?

Currently in my country is a chocolate cake called "Kek coklat berhantu" or in English, devil chocolate cake? lol

a lot of ppl are selling it too. It's chocolate cake with cream cheese layer and chocolate ganache on top. I've made it twice already including just now. It's so good and very easy to make too.

French fries are always trending in Belgium. B)

Also isn't that a tiramisu you mean instead of devil chocolate cake? either way it looks delicious.

nope it's just a very rich chocolate cake with a layer of no baked cheesecake in the middle with chocolate on top. so not tiramisu...

omg please do! *w*

1 cup of all  purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1/4 teaspoon of salt

* sift all of these together and set aside

1 cup of milk

1 cup of canola oil or any oil that have no flavour

1 cup of sweetened condensed milk

1 cup of cocoa powder

1 cup of castor or fine sugar

2 large eggs

everything is in 1 cup, it may look weird but it work.

In a pot, whisk all these together together under a very small heat. When the sugar is dissolve, beat the agg a bit then add it to the mixture. Make sure the fire small and whisk the mixture fast when you add the egg so you wont scrambled the egg. Once everything is mixed, add the flour mixture. Cook it just for a few second. The mixture will be liquid y.

Idk why we need to do all these on fire but it work.

If baking, preheat oven at 170 degree Celsius. Not sure what the temp is in Fahrenheit tho...

There is 2 way you can cook it, you can either steam it if you have a steamer or bake it using a water bath technique. In the recipe it didnt say the baking pan size but for the first time i made it i steamed it in 8 inch round pan for around 45 min. But today i baked using water bath using a square glass pan for 30 minute. Im not sure the size tho. But whatever the size check it at 30 minute mark so you wont over bake it.

250g cream cheese

500ml whipping cream

3 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

beat together the cream cheese and condensed milk together for a few min, then add the whipping and beat until the mixture thickened up well. the cream cheese wont be as sweet cos the ganache is sweet enough or you can more condensed milk to make it sweeter.

chocolate ganache

250g dark chocolate

250 ml whipping cream

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Heat up the cream then turn off teh heat and add the chocolate and vanilla essence into it. Mix well till combined.

Once the cake has cooled down pour the cream cheese mixture on top. Then refrigerated it for a bit just to firm up the cheese cake mixture a bit. Then pour the chocolate ganache. You can keep a few spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture if you want to make the design on top of the ganache like in the picture i posted in OP or just keep it plain.

I suggest you make it the night before you wan to serve it so the cheese cake mixture can firm up well if the it would be too soft. owh btw if  you can baked in springform pan if you want but make you wrap up the bottom like you would when baking a cheese cake.
