I do notice that sometimes Yan An looked confused, out of place or down because of the language barrier since it wasn't that long since he has been in S.Korea so I'm glad that Yuto who understands his feeling looked after him. Yuto is such a sweetheart istg. Hopefully Yan an can talk more and be more active once he knows more Korean vocab etc etc

I find they work because Yanan is 'dark' ( I totally feel he has a sharp tongue and is a little selfish as only the truely pretty can be) and a little socially awkward (not just language but timid and cool towards strangers), so sunshine Yuto with his thick skin (to protect him from tsundere!Yanan) and ready smile balances him out. Also I think Yuto just wouldn't stand for alot of Yanan's push and pull crap and just grab him.

 

I feel Yanan really wants to get along with people but can't pick up on their vibe and relies on others to be very clear and up front with their emotions. Then he reacts cooly from shyness only to realise it seems like he doesn't like someone he does like and then panics because even though he turned away he really wants the other person to grab his arm and drag him back....which I totally see Yuto doing, or rather Yuto would just bear hug him until Yanan conceeds grumbling that he does want to eat ice cream with him. After which Yuto gives him a peck to reward him for good behaviour.
