oh no i'm tearing up

that's a beautiful anecdote

i also became a fan of their music long before i saw any of their faces, but i can't imagine not ever seeing taehyung's or any of their smiles, their choreo, their bombs, etc...not ever seeing my mom smile or my boyfriend's grumpy face...i take so many things for granted and i probably will again in the future, but things like this remind me every now and then to be more grateful

i have a friend who's deaf and LOVES bts. she has me put on the music really loud on my speakers and she puts her hands on the speakers so that she can feel the vibrations from the bass and stuff. it brings me to tears thinking that she'll never be able to hear them like we do, but that she can still love them so much. reading this person's fan account reminded me so much of that

This doesn't make me sad. It makes me happy that the whole "K-Pop is only about visuals" thing is bunk--at least for some people. You don't have to know what these people look like to appreciate how good their music is. You don't have to understand the language either. Etc. I'm glad BTS makes this person happy. But no, we should never take anything for granted.
