Does he wear contact lenses or is his eyes really that colour????????????

so i am watching this drama called monster and this guy

 

has greyish eye colour

 

is it possible he has color lenses????

I think he might have light brown eyes? I got a friend who has eyes almost the color of sand, they're super light brown and look unreal, but aren't (since I have known her since we were children)

another possibility is that his vision is impaired, I got family members whose eyes got lighter do to that

his eye color could be due to a gene or a mutation as well, from a biological standpoint it's possible
