[TRANS] YNB's announcement about the cancellation of the MV for 'U'

“First of all we are sorry for having to bring you this bad news.

Due to trouble, YNB Entertainment has decided to discard KNK’s music video for ‘U’, that was scheduled to be released on the 17th. We finished shooting the music video last October. After editing the video, there were several criticisms on the lacking result product.

We tried to edit several times but due to the quality problems we decided to discard the video in the end.

In order to soothe the disappointment for the Tinkerbells that waited for the music video for ‘U’ to be released after the comeback announcement, we had decided to reveal the teaser that has went through a process of review. But since it also showed the poor quality we couldn’t feel but sorry.

From now on we will prepare KNK’s albums well, trying to reach a perfect result.

We are sorry.â€

A rookie group promoting without a MV is a bit concerning, but I am here for KNK either way. Tinkerbells, we'll have to work extra hard at streaming their performances and the album itself. :)

Seriously YNB? Bad enough they prob destroyed whatever left of Bestie fanbase with their long hiatus. Now the one good thing they got going for them they botch this. I hope it doesn't hurt KNK. There is some concerns. The good news is KNK put on very good live performances.

Best solution is to take one of their live perf and mix in some behind the scenes clips to make a MV. It has been done before.

This is so tragic all around. They just released the MV teaser like.. yesterday (I swear). And now suddenly no MV at all? They filmed back in October and had plenty of time to just.. shoot a box MV if they knew it was going to be garbage. A rookie group from a small company promoting an EP without an MV? It's like they want KNK to fail with this.

It's a bummer because they are really charismatic and talented. Lack of an MV will make it much, much harder to grab any sort of attention.

That's what I'm wondering ... Like, the footage didn't just turn to shit overnight, so why wait until the last minute to decide that it's not good enough??? And why use it for a teaser???

I don't get it? Like even a mv of them dancing in a room is enough

Or even a self-cam version. All they need to do is give the members a camera and edit the footage after. That'll still get them plenty of attention and they won't need to hire a director or anything. Doing nothing won't help their comeback at all -_____-

KNK members being entertaining enough isn't an issue! Let's just make sure Youjin is in charge of the camera!

it's a pity...I was really looking forward to it! :(

I hope KNK will take matters in their own hand and make a creative, hilarious, low-quality music video themselves, release it to fans, and get recognition because it is so funny. Like a parody of dramatic kpop mvs. At this point, it must be devastating for them and everyone working on it. They need some humor.

Or maybe some fans can make a homemade mv and show KNK their love. I think it'll make them feel better...warm and fuzzy. Talented fans, where you at?! :3

My guess is that there's little to no resources to re-shoot a good MV. But they should at least try to come up with something, push back the comeback date if they have to. And it's sad that this is being media-played for all the wrong reason.

Got this from AKP:

The group's label YNB Entertainment announced the rather shocking news on November 16, with the statement:

"Due to quality issues, the MV for title track "U" off of KNK's 2nd mini album 'Remain' has been discarded. We apologize to fans, who've waited for the MV. We have no plans to re-shoot the MV, and KNK will instead showcase a perfect performance through live stages."
