It is the second adaptation of the novel series, after the 2013 film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which like Shadowhunters was produced by Constantin Film. The show received a straight-to-series order on March 30, 2015, and premiered on January 12, 2016 on Freeform. Which is surprising, since she didn't really like the tv show. I would rather have not her interfering with the tv show. The first season was not bad, but I'm not a huge fan of the books. Malec's date was better than I expected, glad they got past the obvious problem they had to face one day, and THE KISS, omg it was so soft and made me grin, seriously they have amazing kisses so far and then JACE ! I just had to laugh when he cockblocked them, Alec's face and Magnus visibly upset made my day, and he was only like "sorry to kill the mood but I came to crash at your house, I didn't knock or anything but we're fine right ??" *I look forward to see Magnus and Jace being roommates, talk about awkward *I felt seriously bad for Luke poor baby, I loved the scenes between Maia & Simon, too bad I can see the Clary/Simon relationship coming (and as much as I love Simon I'll have to skip those scenes, I'm not ready to watch that) *I seriously don't get Luke's sister betrayal ?? What is she planning to do ? Was this needed ? Couldn't she just leave, did she seriously had to stab her friend ? I'm confused (sorry I forgot her name, Sister something) *Isabelle's storyline still frustrates me, Aldertree is getting on my nerves but I still want to know more about him. Poor innocent child, he was so shocked, I don't blame him tho (17k ??? how is that even possible, but did he seriously thought old and sexy af Magnus Bane would have only 17 exes ? *pats his back*) His face when Jace interrupted was also hilarious, he was so lost *I loved that flashback too with Luke & Maia, it was so touching and their acting was seriously great. *Oh gosh that preview, when I saw it I was like lmao Magnus just called you innocent and you suddenly go all "thirsty ! I'm gonna go ask my sister about sex and push you against a wall while unbuttoning your shirt" Calm down boy hahaha. Yeah I bet Magnus will stop him, I hope Alec won't take the rejection too badly. and they'll have a serious talk, I'm sure the "you're not the only one feeling vulnerable" scene will happen after that unlike in the preview.
