Spoiler

On the November 1 episodes of SBS drama “While You Were Sleeping,†Lee Sung Kyung and Yoon Kyun Sang made a cameo as the overly cheesy couple that appears during Jung Jae Chan (played by Lee Jong Suk) and Nam Hong Joo’s (played by Suzy) first date.

In the stills, Lee Sung Kyung and Yoon Kyun Sang wear matching pink clothes and play a lovey-dovey couple next to Jae Chan and Hong Joo who are a bit awkward on their first date.

In the next set of stills, Jae Chan is seen pondering over an issue very seriously. Hong Joo dreamt that Jae Chan encounters a case where an individual would become brain-dead due to an accident and his autopsy would lead to the capture of the criminal, but this would lead to the deaths of seven people. Han Woo Tak (played by Jung Hae In), however, dreamt that Jae Chan would not order an autopsy and save the lives of seven people, but the criminal would go free.

Yoon Kyun Sang then cheerfully calls out, “Hey ajusshi! Can you take a picture of us?†breaking the serious mood. When Jae Chan refuses, Lee Sung Kyung says to Yoon Kyun Sang, “Baby, let’s go. Don’t be hurt, I’ll buy you meat!â€

It was reported that at the time of filming, it was a hot summer day, but nevertheless the actors worked hard while taking breaks. Lee Sung Kyung and Lee Jong Suk can be seen battling the heat during their breaks with ice packs and miniature fans.

On her cameo, Lee Sung Kyung commented, “It was exciting and great to film with friendly, familiar faces after such a long time. I think it’s great if we added even the slightest bit of fun for viewers.â€

SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “While You Were Sleeping†released more behind-the-scenes stills from the November 1 episodes where Yoon Kyun Sang and Lee Sung Kyung made a cameo as a lovey-dovey couple.

On screen, Yoon Kyun Sang and Lee Sung Kyung were a cheesy couple who weren’t afraid of being affectionate to one another in public while Lee Jong Suk and Suzy were awkward due to the fact that this was their first official date. Off screen, however, it was evident that all four actors were comfortable and happy during the filming.

In one of the photos of the stills, Lee Jong Suk and Suzy wear the same expressions and stand in the same postures as if they are twins. They’re both smiling at Yoon Kyun Sang and Lee Sung Kyung as they act out their cringe-worthy scenes and their arms are resting over the fence.

Lee Jong Suk also creates a “flower pose†in front of the camera while Suzy is seen giving the camera a mock grumpy expression with the selfie stick over one shoulder. Another still cut reveals a commemorative photo of the four actors together in the field of rye.

SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “While You Were Sleeping†has released a behind-the-scenes video clip of Lee Jong Suk, Suzy, Yoon Kyun Sang, and Lee Sung Kyung.

The clip begins with Suzy and Lee Jong Suk standing in front of a white fence in a field of rye with sheep grazing in front of them. Suzy starts to make sheep noises, and Lee Jong Suk stares at her in fascination. The two of them meet eyes and automatically start to smile sweetly at each other.

The director asks Lee Jong Suk to make a flower pose, and the actor willingly does it with a big smile on his face. Lee Jong Suk looks at Suzy in that pose, and the two of them start to laugh. The director also orders him to stand next to the fence, so he come over, goes on the tips of his toes, and cutely says, “Here.â€

Lee Jong Suk tickles Suzy with rye. She takes it and tickles him back to get revenge, but after seeing the grimace on his face, she asks, “Are you getting annoyed?†Lee Jong Suk laughs and shakes his head in denial but soon asks, “Was it obvious?â€

The video progresses to the entrance of Yoon Kyun Sang and Lee Sung Kyung who are making a cameo appearance in the drama. The production crew turns on the OST from Yoon Kyun Sang’s former drama “Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People,†and he asks in disbelief, “Why are you doing this?†The two actors seem comfortable and happy as they joke around and put their all into acting as a cheesy couple.

Yoon Kyun Sang and Lee Sung Kyung are interviewed after filming, and they explain that they came to support the drama through a cameo appearance because of their friendship with Lee Jong Suk and the director Oh Choong Hwan who also filmed “Doctors†with them.

Last but not least, the four actors come together to take pictures, and Lee Jong Suk jokes, “Is this a press conference?â€

SBS drama “While You Were Sleeping†recently released a behind-the-scenes making film. In it, viewers can see the close friendship between the cast and their antics on set.

The making film opens with Lee Jong Suk and Kim Won Hae filming a night scene. As they begin their lines, a dog barks, making the scene an NG. Kim Won Hae hilariously swears at the dog, and the production crew erupt into laughter. They start up the scene again, but the dog barks even more, and Kim Won Hae jokingly yells at the dog another time.

Kim Won Hae then follows Lee Jong Suk into the junkyard, but accidentally bumps into part of the set, causing some boxes to fall. Like the professional he is, he smoothly recovers and continues the scene. When the director cuts the scene, the cameramen start laughing.

Some of the other cast members join them for the next scene, as they dig through part of the junkyard. While waiting for the director, the cast joke around, saying, “You look like a power ranger,†and “Maybe I’ll get a commercial for rubber gloves.â€

We even get to see a scene where Jae Chan (played by Lee Jong Suk) and Nam Hong Joo (played by Suzy) embrace. In between scenes, we can see the close friendship between the two, as Suzy lightly dusts off dirt from his face.

Lee Jong Suk also jokingly says “Do you wanna fight? Do you wanna bleed? [catchphrase from ‘Ask Us Anything’]†and teases Kim Won Hae with Suzy for not knowing the catchphrase.

SBS’s “While You Were Sleeping†has delivered suspense and satisfaction to viewers as they watched Jung Jae Chan (Lee Jong Suk) crack cold cases and win trials. New stills previewing this week’s episode shows a preview of another difficult case headed for Jae Chan.

Last week, viewers learned a bit more about Myung Dae Goo (Lee Do Gyeom), who is in the same class as Jung Seung Won (Shin Jae Ha). It was briefly mentioned in previous episodes that Dae Goo’s father was in jail. Then last week, the news on TV reported that the IV serial killer hung himself and died in his jail cell, followed by Dae Goo clutching his heart and crying.

Before his father’s death, Dae Goo had asked Seung Won if Jae Chan could meet his father. He also attended Jae Chan’s last trial where he watched firsthand as Jae Chan fought for justice, while shaking in anger at the sight of Lee Yoo Beom (Lee Sang Yeob).

In the stills, Jae Chan looks pensive and lost in thought, while Dae Goo looks like he is still in shock over his father’s death. Dae Goo is dressed in traditional funeral wear and clutching his father’s urn.

DI7Hy4l.jpg

This week, the case of the IV serial killer is reopened for reinvestigation. Seung Won handed his brother and letter and said, “This is the document of the IV serial killer and the person who committed suicide in jail.†The letter was signed by Myung Ee Suk and can be assumed that Seung Won got the letter from Dae Goo to give to Jae Chan.

A source from the drama said, “Please look forward to watching how Jae Chan and his co-investigators solve the case of the IV serial killer.â€

On November 7, SBS drama “While You Were Sleeping†released stills of Suzy in the middle of in-depth coverage, and a flustered Lee Jong Suk and Lee Ki Young.

Nam Hong Joo (played by Suzy) gets the chance to cover a story titled, “Prosecution 72 Hours†and takes on a close observational role for three days at the Third Division of the Han River Public Prosecutor’s Office.

In the first still below we see Nam Hong Joo carefully filming all parts of the prosecutor’s office.

In the second still, we see Head Prosecutor Park Dae Young (played by Lee Ki Young) frantically signaling to Jung Jae Chan (played by Lee Jong Suk), as Nam Hong Joo is immersed in filming.

In the next set of stills, Jung Jae Chan is stunned as he discovers Nam Hong Joo in the office, and appears not to know what to do with himself.

In the last still, Park Dae Young appears to have resigned himself to the fact that Nam Hong Joo will be at the office for three whole days, and sticks by her as she films.

Many viewers are excited as Jung Jae Chan, usually cool and collected in front of Nam Hong Joo, appears extremely flustered and what sort of antics the two will be up to.

While last week’s episodes ended on a happier note after a tense conflict, the next episode of SBS’s “While You Were Sleeping†will undoubtedly keep you at the edge of your seat once again!

In newly released stills, Jung Jae Chan (Lee Jong Suk) and Nam Hong Joo (Suzy) can’t control their expressions of shock and panic as they find themselves suddenly surrounded by growing flames while in a storage container. Despite their best efforts to try and escape the fire by smashing the walls, they appear to be completely trapped and slowly begin to lose consciousness. This scene was also briefly shown at the end of a preview for the November 8 episode that was revealed last week.

The production crew commented how many viewers expressed their concern and curiosity towards how the two characters found themselves alone in a storage container in the first place, and hinted that the answer will be revealed in this week’s episodes.

SBS’s “While You Were Sleeping†has released new stills showing Choi Dam Dong (played by Kim Won Hae) seeking out Lee Yoo Beom (played by Lee Sang Yeob) at his law firm. Things are set to get interesting as Kim Won Hae had previously turned down an offer to join the law firm, and it has not yet been revealed why he is going through the change of heart.

The photos show Dam Dong grabbing onto Yoo Beom’s arm and looking jittery, almost like he’s hiding something. The two characters know each other well as Yoo Beom had previously worked with Dam Dong as a prosecutor before becoming a lawyer.

The trust Yoo Beom had in Dam Dong seemed to be holding strong as he invited Dam Dong to join his law firm. However, the offer was turned down, which makes the upcoming meeting even more interesting and unexpected. Dam Dong is said to have shouted, “Answer me!†to Yoo Beom, who looked surprised and flustered in return.

The staff stated, “This is the first time that Dam Dong is the one seeking Yoo Beom out. The reason why Dam Dong is looking so desperate will be revealed in today’s episode.â€

SBS’s “While You Were Sleeping†is poised to have viewers on the edges of their seats yet again with the episode to be aired tonight (November 9).

In new preview stills released for the upcoming episode, Nam Hong Joo (Suzy) is having a drink in Lee Yoo Beom’s (Lee Sang Yeob‘s) office. After Hong Joo collapses, likely from whatever was put in her drink, Yoo Beom coldly looks on, deep in thought. Especially of note is that Hong Joo is wearing the same blue reporter jacket that she was wearing in the dream in which she saw herself die.

A source from the drama production said, “Hong Joo, who goes to see Yoo Beom, will fall into danger. Tune in to tonight’s episode to see what happens.â€

In a recent pictorial and interview with High Cut magazine, Suzy opened up about her “While You Were Sleeping†character’s career as a reporter and how she prepared for the role.

X7XqFET.jpg

Suzy commented how she “felt good†that people said that her realistic reporting in the drama was “a complete surprise.†She revealed how an actual reporter taught her, saying, â€œWhen I was first just practicing on my own, I thought that I was doing pretty well. However, I realized that [reporting] was completely different than what I had thought after I received help from an actual reporter.â€

The star explained that reporters emphasize extremely accurate pronunciation and actually speak in a more monotonous tone, rather than try to speak in a pretty manner. “Because I have done a lot of emceeing or narration, my tone has a severe tendency to change a lot,†Suzy shared. “I also focused on practicing words that appear a lot [in the drama] like ‘arrest’ and ‘prosecution.'†In addition to her speech, Suzy also had to train herself not to move around a lot, as news reporters have to remain more stoic compared to MCs.

Suzy revealed why she agreed to sing for the “While You Were Sleeping†OST as well. “I felt pressured to completely separate [acting and singing] in the past. When I was acting, I would only focus on acting, and when I was promoting as a singer, I tried to make people forget that I also acted. However, I realized that didn’t make sense. What can I do about the fact that I’m doing both?†she expressed. “I felt more free after I acknowledged that fact to myself.â€

The singer and actress explained that she intends to continue to pursue both careers, and that if singing for a drama she’s acting in helps the production, she will choose to sing again for another OST in the future.

In newly released footage from “While You Were Sleeping,†Suzy and Lee Jong Suk literally heat up the screen with their fire scene!

The behind-the-scenes clip from the SBS drama shows the two stars filming on set with a real fire, with Lee Jong Suk jokingly worrying, “It seems like our hair will catch on fire!†Despite being surprised at the intensity of the flames, both actors are impressively professional as they wrap up the scene, managing to stay in character even as they start coughing from the smoke.

Once the camera stops rolling, however, the two are back to their playful selves, teasing each other and laughing at their soot-covered faces in the mirror.

On November 15, actor Jung Hae In took part in an interview for his upcoming film, “Conspiracy – Age of Rebellion.â€

He first opened up about debuting at an older age. He explained, “I went to mandatory military service when I was 21 years old [Korean reckoning]. Some other male actors may be jealous since I’ve already gone. I’ve even finished with the reserve forces. But there really isn’t much to be jealous about, since the army is just another place for people to live. Those with a lot of wealth and fame may not want to go, as it creates a long resting period.â€

Jung Hae In stated that he had a taste of acting through musicals in his first year of college, then he went to the army straight after. He commented that the two years in the army were a “very precious time†for him. He explained that it was a turning point that helped him understand what he had to do, and it made him think more realistically about his life, which was acting.

He explained, “I was determined that acting was what I needed to do. I thought I should try it even if I succeeded or failed, and so I lost 12 kilograms (approximately 26.45 pounds) in the army. After I graduated from school, I joined my agency. I’ve heard many times that my debut was late for my age. I debuted at 26 years old but that’s the age that other young adults are first employed. That’s also the age that I first started working.â€

Jung Hae In also expressed his affection for his “While You Were Sleeping†co-stars Lee Jong Suk and Shin Jae Ha. He explained that they got even closer after taking a trip together. When asked about the photos they uploaded on Instagram, he smiled and commented, “There are a lot more photos. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.â€

On their friendship, he stated, “We’ve decided to meet up again after the drama ends. Lee Jong Suk still has to go to the army and seems to be thinking a lot about it. I haven’t talked to him separately about my experiences in the army. We’re comfortable but we don’t ask each other about it. I think I’ve actually gotten a lot of help from him. Although Lee Jong Suk is a year younger than I am, there are many times when he feels more like an older brother. He’s reliable, mature, and has a lot of affection. On our trip, we all stayed in the same room but it was really comfortable. He’s a very mature guy but he also likes to act cute sometimes.â€

SBS’s “While You Were Sleeping†aired its final episode tonight. This fantasy, comic, melodrama was loved by many viewers for its story about love, friendship, family, and justice. The drama ends leaving memorable moments during its run.

“While You Were Sleeping†is about a woman named Nam Hong Joo (Suzy) who can see the future through her dreams, a prosecutor named Jung Jae Chan (Lee Jong Suk) who can see her future through his dreams, and using their skills to solve cases together to protect the people around them.

“While You Were Sleeping†was unique in its approach to creating a comic melodrama mixed with fantasy, crime, and romance. Jung Jae Chan and Nam Hong Joo’s relationship started off as acquaintances, neighbors, friends, to lovers. Their story played out in their dreams as well as reality. For instance, their first kiss surrounded by cherry blossoms happened only in their dreams, but not in real life.

Although this scene did not play out in their real lives, Nam Hong Joo and Jung Jae Chan left viewers satisfied in a later episode with a memorable kiss scene in the rain. Besides this couple’s cute and funny moments, their scenes of consolation also left an impression on the viewers.

Nam Hong Joo cried by herself in a park because she felt upset that Han Woo Tak (Jung Hae In) got injured because of her. Having seen this already in his dream, Jung Jae Chan came prepared with a box of tissues and a shoulder to cry on. Jung Jae Chan said to his girlfriend, “Blame yourself for a short amount of time, but don’t forget it for awhile.â€

Prosecutor Jung Jae Chan always stood on the right side of the law and fought for justice inside and outside of the courtroom. After receiving a hint from Nam Hong Joo that helped him build his case in front of the judge, Jung Jae Chan stated, “Like the legal maxim ‘Justice rolls down like waters,’ I hope to see this happen in this courtroom too.â€

Where there is good, there is also evil, and Lee Yoo Beom (Lee Sang Yeob) was the ideal villain in this drama. He angered viewers with his duplicity and corrupt sense of justice. In a scene when he won a case for a criminal and shook his hand, he went to the bathroom and washed his hands so hard that his hands bled. With a crooked smile and menacing look, he said to his reflection in the mirror, “You changed a lot.â€

“While You Were Sleeping†concluded on November 16, with a successful run of hilarious and touching episodes, but also with an unpredictable ending. On November 17, the production staff released final behind-the-scenes stills as well as four reasons why they thought viewers enjoyed the drama.

Lee Jong Suk and Suzy’s chemistry

From the get go, Lee Jong Suk and Suzy gained a lot of attention for their casting, but took it to another level with their strong chemistry as their characters Jung Jae Chan and Nam Hong Joo. Lee Jong Suk perfectly portrayed the handsome sharp-eyed detective who was also a lovable klutz at the same time. Suzy on the other hand, completely changed her look and fully embraced the role of a reporter. The two of them made viewers laugh and cry with their warm chemistry.

Strong performances from supporting characters

Lee Sang Yeob, Go Sung Hee, Jung Hae In, and others all made their mark in the drama. These actors filled up the plot of the drama. Lee Sang Yeob gave viewers goosebumps with his chilling role, moving seamlessly from a kind person to an evil criminal. Go Sung Hee was the ambitious yet lovable prosecutor, and Jung Hae In played the honest policeman who renewed our love for men in uniform.

Other memorable actors who were a part of the drama included Lee Ki Young, Kim Won Hae, Hwang Young Hee, Bae Hae Sun, Min Sung Wook, Lee Yoo Joon, Shin Jae Ha, Park Jin Joo, Oh Ui Shik, and Lee Do Kyum. There were also special appearances from actors Kim So Hyun, Yum Hyo Seob, Jang Hyun Sung, Jang So Yeon, Choi Won Young, Baek Sung Hyun, Kang Ki Young, and Lee Eun Woo.

Famous lines and scenes that made your heart skip a beat

Although filled with attention-grabbing lines and scenes, some stood out more than others. For example, the two-minute long kiss that crossed the lines between dream and reality was a scene that really stunned viewers. Another example is the sweet line, “Blame yourself for a bit, but instead don’t forget it for a long time,†which was even sweeter as it was something that comforted Jae Chan when he was a child. Scenes that connected the two characters, such as when Jae Chan dreamt and then saved Hong Joo, and when the two met at their fathers’ funerals, as well as the kiss scene amongst the cherry blossoms were especially eye-catching.

Unpredictable endings

From the first episode to the last, each was filled with an interesting plot twists as well as exciting endings. From Jae Chan dreaming the future and saving Hong Joo, Woo Tak’s dream being confirmed, Jae Chan and Hong Joo’s tip-toe kiss, Jae Chan’s reaction when Hong Joo returns on her first day as a reporter, Jae Chan being terrorized just as Hong Joo dreamt, the famous two minute double-kiss, the policeman revealing himself through their memories, Hong Joo taking on the destiny she dreamt, and of course, everyone’s happy endings. With unpredictable endings, viewers were pleasantly surprised every time.

The cast members for “While You Were Sleeping†shared their thoughts and feelings after the conclusion of the drama.

Upon being asked what scene was the most memorable to shoot, Suzy picked the scene when Hong Joo cuts her own hair. She said, “It needed to be completed in one take and was emotionally charged, so I felt a lot of pressure.â€

She continued, “I was really happy that I got to portray a role as a reporter, and I prepared a lot because I wanted to play the character well. Thinking back, I was really happy during the time I got to be Hong Joo. It was a project that made me excited to go to work.â€

She lastly thanked viewers for watching and loving Hong Joo throughout the drama.

Lee Jong Suk also posted after the conclusion of the drama. On his personal Instagram, he added a photo of him as Jung Jae Chan and captioned it, “[We] started filming when when the air was cold, and now adjusting our clothes to today’s winter… trying to part with Jung Jae Chan, who has been with me for a year, is so bittersweet.â€

He continued, “Watching [the drama] when it aired felt fresh to me, and now, not waiting for next week’s episodes makes me feel empty. I want to express my appreciation to those who loved Jung Jae Chan. Much love to the directors, actors, and all of the staff members. And thank you and love you my mentor Kim Won Hae. I admire you, and each moment (with you) was like a present for me.â€

Jung Hae In, who portrayed the character Han Woo Tak, said, “I think I was very lucky to meet amazing people and do an amazing drama. Because we finished shooting the drama before it aired, it gave me double the impact — I was sad when filming ended, and then I was sad again when the drama ended.â€

He continued, “‘While You Were Sleeping’ was the work that began my 30s and was an important part of my life for a year, so I am even more sad. I think I will remember this drama for a long time.â€

Lastly, Lee Sang Yeob said, “It was such an honor working with the writer, director, amazing actors, and staff members that I admire. In the drama, I don’t think there was a single person that smiled for Yoo Beom, so I thought, ‘This character is extremely lonely.’ However, [people] still cared for me so much; it was a time full of happiness.â€

He continued, “With the hope that the world overflows with people like Jung Jae Chan and not Lee Yoo Beom, I’d like to thank all of the people who supported the drama.â€

soompi:

After “While You were Sleeping†came to an end last week, Suzy recently sat down for an interview to talk about the drama.

The idol-turned-actress was effusive as she talked about her experience during filming. “Going to the set made me so happy,†she recalled. “I also spent a lot of time on my own thinking about how to express the character of Hong Joo. I was very excited to be playing a reporter, and I worked hard to prepare because I wanted to do well. Looking back, I was truly happy during the time I spent living as Hong Joo.â€

Suzy commented on spending time with real-life reporters to get a better sense of how they did their job, saying, “I watched a lot of TV news, and I researched by watching dramas, movies, and documentaries about reporters. I practiced a lot, so I was honestly very happy that I received positive reviews.â€

When asked about her chemistry with co-star Lee Jong Suk, Suzy replied, “I think we worked very well together, because he took good care of me and was great at leading the way.â€

The star also spoke about being reunited with screenwriter Park Hye Ryun, who wrote both “While You Were Sleeping†and “Dream High,†the drama in which Suzy made her debut as an actress in 2011. “I’m very thankful that she allowed me to be a part of such a great drama,†she said. “I was still lacking as an actress during ‘Dream High,’ but starting with [‘While You Were Sleeping’], I want to show an even more improved version of myself.â€

She went on, “I’m still lacking in many ways, but I’m always doing my best in order to grow and show better performances.â€

Suzy also confirmed that she plans to continue with both her acting and singing careers, saying, “I’d like to become a singer who expresses myself more openly.â€

In addition to appearing in “While You Were Sleeping,†Suzy recently won the Asia Star Award at the 2017 Asia Artist Awards.

After stealing hearts as the adorable second lead in “While You Were Sleeping,†Jung Hae In is on the fast track to stardom. But even as he lines up his next projects, including the drama “Prison Playbook†and his first lead role in a film, the actor remains impressively humble and grounded.

Jung Hae In recently appeared in the SBS drama “While You Were Sleeping†as Han Woo Tak, a police officer in love with the female protagonist (played by Suzy). So many viewers fell in love with his character that he earned the nickname “Cause of Second Lead Syndrome.â€

However, the 29-year-old actor recently said in an interview that he doesn’t believe his surge in popularity will last for long. “My current trend status? Popularity? I’m so grateful for such words, but to be honest, I know that it will fade soon,†he said laughingly. “I’m in no rush [to prove myself as an actor]. I want to take it slow, step by step, and travel down the right path.â€

Jung Hae In surprised reporters with his humility even as he jumps quickly from one project to the next—the in-demand actor has been cast in the upcoming drama “Prison Playbook,†produced by Shin Won Ho of the famous “Reply†series, and he is also starring in the film “Conspiracy—Age of Rebellion,†which will be released on November 23. Notably, the film is his first leading role.

Speaking about his newfound fame, Jung Hae In commented, “I’m very grateful that people are taking an interest in me. I’m the type to often search for articles about myself and check the comments, so seeing that there a lot of people who responded positively makes me both happy and embarrassed.â€

“However,†he went on, “the most important thing for me right now is to grow as an actor and experience many different things. Even if I have to go through some pain and suffering, I want to evolve properly.†The rising star named actors Shin Ha Kyun and Park Hae Il as two actors that he respected and wanted to emulate.

Although he debuted at a relatively late age for an actor, Jung Hae In has accomplished a great deal in a career of just three years. He remarked that he believed his late debut helped him as an actor, explaining, “I think I was able to start acting without feeling nervous or rushed [about my career] because I had already started so late. So I was free from worrying over whether a work [that I was in] would do well or not.â€

He continued, “To be honest, I try not to be affected by whether my reviews are good or bad at the moment—I want to be steadfast and keep going no matter what. I think that’s necessary, in order to do this job for a long time.â€

When asked how he felt about seeing other actors his age already established as stars, Jung Hae In said he wasn’t bothered by it. “I try not to ‘look up,'†he replied. “The further you ‘look down,’ the more you gain, and the more grateful you become for what you have. I’d like to continue my work with that attitude for a long time.â€

Jung Hae In has nothing but love for his “While You Were Sleeping†co-stars Suzy and Lee Jong Suk!

During a recent interview, the actor talked about his close friend Lee Jong Suk, saying, “We actually met up really frequently to grab some drinks. We often drank beer in front of a convenience store. We even went on a trip after filming the drama. It was my first time going on vacation with just the actors and without our managers. It was a really memorable trip.â€

He then joked, “Lee Jong Suk says he learned to appreciate the little things in life because of me.â€

When asked about Suzy, Jung Hae In responded, “She’s really pretty. She’s beautiful inside and out. She’s extremely nice, and I felt really comfortable filming with her. She’s kind and considerate. My character had a crush on hers, and she made it easier for me to act. She’s definitely a mood maker.â€

In a recent interview, actor Jung Hae In expressed his gratefulness towards his co-star and close friend Lee Jong Suk for helping him during the drama “While You Were Sleeping.â€

Jung Hae In said, “I am always grateful [to Lee Jong Suk]. A large part of me trusts and relies on him. He gave me a lot of help.†He mentioned how surprised he was that a lead actor like Lee Jong Suk would take interest and give advice to a supporting actor like himself.

Jung Hae In explained, “There was one scene where I had to be lovey-dovey with Suzy. I was awkward, so Lee Jong Suk pointed out what I had to do for [the viewers] to like it.â€

Jung Hae In continued to express his gratitude to Lee Jong Suk, saying, “I was grateful. That could’ve been his secret method, and it could’ve been his own unique â€˜skill,’ but every time he would give me advice, I was grateful. There were many people on the set, so he would quietly tell me [the tips] and leave.â€

During the interview, Jung Hae In also revealed Lee Jong Suk’s true nature. Jung Hae In said, “He’s more cute than I thought he would be. When I first saw him, I thought he’d be cold, haughty, and rough, but after talking for a brief moment and getting closer, he started to suddenly act cute. I was flustered. However, after a while, I got comfortable and used to it.â€

He also added, “He has the opposite image of how the media portrays him. He’s a warm friend, and we only have a one year difference in age. He was born in 1989, and despite the fact that he debuted first and has more experience, he calls me hyung and respects me, so I’m grateful for that.â€

Jung Hae In also admitted he still maintains his close friendship with the cast of “While You Were Sleeping,†especially Lee Jong Suk and Shin Jae Ha. He talked about how the three of them went on a trip to Japan together. He shared, “We seriously talked until dawn. Jae Ha and I drank beer until 3 or 4 in the morning. Jong Suk didn’t drink, but he still talked with us for a long time.â€

In SBS’s hit drama “While You Were Sleeping,†Shin Jae Ha played the role of a high school student named Jung Seung Won, the younger brother of Jung Jae Chan, played by Lee Jong Suk. Because the drama was pre-produced, it began filming last winter and aired this September.

Shin Jae Ha commented, “Because the drama was pre-produced, it didn’t feel real until the final episode aired. When I filmed other dramas, the final episode and final filming coincided, so it really felt like it was the end. But this time, because I felt it after the airing of the finale, I felt sadder than I did for other dramas. There was a huge feeling of emptiness.â€

It seems like Shin Jae Ha wasn’t the only one who felt this way. The actor revealed that he hung out with his co-stars until 5 a.m. to catch up after the finale aired. The co-stars also went on a trip to Sapporo. Although he, Lee Jong Suk, and Jung Hae In were the only ones who went to Sapporo, he said that everyone was supposed to go but couldn’t due to scheduling conflicts.

Lee Jong Suk and Shin Jae Ha technically have already played brothers before in the drama “Pinocchio.†Shin Jae Ha starred as the younger counterpart of Ki Jae Myung (Yoon Kyun Sang), the older brother of Ki Ha Myung (Lee Jong Suk). Shin Jae Ha revealed that he even saved Lee Jong Suk’s number as “My Older Brother†in his phone.

Shin Jae Ha explained, “There was only one scene where we met in ‘Pinocchio,’ but when we played brothers [in ‘While You Were Sleeping’], we got to converse for a long time. Lee Jong Suk is very shy, but he put in a lot of effort [in trying to get close], so I also messaged and called him every day to make an effort as well. After filming, we were basically living together, and the longest we don’t see each other was two days.â€

According to Shin Jae Ha, the two actors usually meet late at night to eat yummy food, watch movies, chitchat, and hang out at cafes. When asked how they got so close, Shin Jae Ha shared, “As the main character, Lee Jong Suk was feeling a lot of pressure. From what I saw next to him, he couldn’t even sleep. He was always studying the script. I really wanted to help him relieve his worries. So I would act cute, make him happy, and tell him stories. I guess he felt thankful for that, and we naturally got closer.â€

This off-camera chemistry transferred on-screen, where the two transformed scenes with one or two lines into comical, realistic scenes with hilarious ad-libs.
