Why do Koreans worry so much about Pronunciation in Acting?

I think they mean more like diction/enunciation.

this. in my case i'm a spanish speaker and i get so annoyed at the president of my country because when hes giving a speech all i can focus on is his awful pronunciation, it really takes me away from the content of his speech

everyone values something different

why do you worry about what koreans worry about

Because I thought it would be interesting to see how the average person pronounces korean vs how they expect screen actors to pronounce korean? Kind of like how Actors in America were trained to have a mid-atlantic accent, which is why black and white Hollywood movies sound the way they do.

it's still a part of acting. Even American actresses and actors have to take a diction/pronunciation class. You can't just talk normally the way you do in real life when you're acting.

lol...yes you can? If that was the case for Americans, that would also be a constant criticism for american actors as well.

If you can't enunciate your speech would be hard to understand. There's a reason why speech/diction classes are one of the basic classes drama/acting majors are required to take.

it is...

but korean and english are different languages. korean tends to have stricter rules in what sounds are and are not acceptable, and therefore there is a higher amount of words that sound alike. that's my guess.
