S.E.S.(친구) 730 Posted January 20, 2014 Share Posted January 20, 2014 There are so many sad kpop songs, especially a lot of solo artists, but I will focus on kpop idol groups from 90s until today.,Since OneHallyu can only allow to post at most four videos here, so I will pick four of the saddest kpop song ever in kpop history..... 4 "Day By Day" From Big Bang (2008) First of all, I assume any kpop fans listen to kpop more than 5 years suppose to know this song. This song was from Big Bang's album "Stand Up", which released at 2008, and this song was written by Big Bang member G-Dragon. And this song becomes one of the most successful singles of all in Korea. After I watch this MV until the end, I feel it's just so sad after the part" Oh Girl, I cry cry....." 3 "A Song For A Lady" from H.O.T(2000) This song is from H.O.T's album "Outside Castle", released at 2000. H.O.T was one of the most famous kpop boy group back in 90s. The Song "A Song For A Lady" is not only one of their hit single, also was OST of the very sad Korean drama "Autumn in My Heart", it's a very sad Korean drama back in early 2000s. Also this song has very special meaning, it is the very last song H.O.T ever performed in their very last concert, which symbolized the ending of one kpop generation. H.O.T's very last performance: 2 "To My Mother" from g.o.d(1999) This song is from g.o.d's very first album "Chapter 1", which released at 1999. This is also g.o.d's debut single. g.o.d was also one of the most popular kpop boy group back in 90s, and their one single album could sell more than 2 million copies, which has the highest record of all kpop idols of all time. They won Daesang(which is the highest kpop music award) for the three major broadcasting systems in Korea because of this song. This song was from g.o.d's group leader Joon Park's personal experience, he spent two years just for composing this song, then he sang this song to his mother, and his mother cannot stop crying after listening to this song..... 1 "Because I'm a Girl" from KISS(2001) This song was recognized by most people in Korea as "the saddest kpop song of all time" .This song is from KISS's debut single,which is released at 2001.and this was the most popular karaoke song in Korea for many years. And also this video used to be the most popular Korean music video on youtube long time ago.....Just classic, if you haven't heard this song, please watch it..... It's not a typical cheesy lovey-dovey, heartbreaking-because-my-lover-gone sad, but much much more. Still always struck me whenever I watch it.
