Breaking up via text is cowardly and screams lack of respect for the other person, especially if it was a longer relationship. I prefer to break up in person, even if it's harder to do, in order to get everything that might be bothering me off my chest. The only time I broke up over text was when I was ending a one month long relationship, because I was honestly scared of what the guy might do if I had done it in person, lmao, 'cause he had an impulsive personality and I noticed he got attached, unlike me, so I didn't want to risk anything. Face to face and honest is the way to go, I will be hurt but I will eventually get over it. A text breakup will just make me mad and think about it too much. It seems quite rude and demeaning to not break off a relationship with looking them in the eyes and saying you don't want to do it anymore.
