I watched the K2 because of Yoona but I was really drawn to Song Yoona's acting, she's really really good.

Although I won't say that she single handedly carried The K2 like some of bitter haters out there and here said. Lol. It's the casts that complement and bring out the best of each actor there. It's just YJ character was the most well written character throughout the drama. I think if any other veteran actors given more chances/airtime and better character developments, each of them can shine like her too..

it's more that her charachter had way more depth than anna who although was the lead had no real properly fleshed out storyline just a lot of crying and saying she's gonna get revenge then after a while drop trying ot get revenge and is just like jehajehajeha every episode, the writing for her character was just blegh. song yoona is a great actress but i beleive her charachter sticked out even more because anna was just a badly written lead

all three of them handled their characters well but it still boils down to the script at the end of the day. clearly midway in the drama, it favored more and more on choi yoojin. kim jeha with his code name as the drama's title didn't even have much character development, what more for anna.

Big problem was with the script in the beginning. Song Yoona's acting in the beginning was so strong that by the time Anna showed up, the impact and impression from Choi YooJin  seem to just naturally draw viewers to her character. (I still can;t forget her expression when Jeha saved her during the car scene.)

 

If Anna had a more active role within the first two ep, it might have changed the course of the script and allowed a much more even spread for character development.
