Why is the father of someone in Beast writing about idol success?

probably because he's father of one of the member of Beast? :)

the group which was destined to failure but at the end met with success

when Beast first debuted they were laughed off by some korean comedian and called 'recycled' because they all made unsuccessful attempts to stand on stage, were rejected before joining Cube

Take Yoseob for example - he was trainee for 6 years at least at four differrent companies. The amount of auditions he had is probably even greater than the companies he was in. After each rejection by agency he had to go home to tell his parents about this, knowing they don't support his dream. He watched his friends successfully debuting, yet he was the one unable to fulfill his dream and with time he kept getting older, his chances to debut and to make money from what he likes were getting smaller

Just last year I realised how frustrating it was for him... Now I know how it feels when your dream moves away from you... when your peers are doing what they like, yet you're the only one which is forbidden from doing so.

each of Beast members have similar story - rejected by companies, humilated on TV, forced to work under slave contract - still didn't give up their dreams after many failures

I think they strove toward a goal was inspiring. Some might think Beast aren't the best example of idol success and the book about their supposed success shouldn't be written since they aren't the most popular idol group out there. But taken into consideration their beginnings, they did pretty well. If becoming a role model to a person from another continent isn't a success, I don't know what it is.

hmm, why Dongwoon's father is writing this? Probably to make money from it :) it's not the first time when idol related book was released - like Myungsoo's photobook, SHINee's photobook from their vacation on Barcelona, book about JYJ's story etc.

I see nothing wrong with it. I would like to read it.

Oh, and since Dongwoon's father is a professor, it can be decently written. Actually after Beast were laughed off because they were recycled Dongwoon's father was the one who suggested Cube to just accept it and turn Beast flaw into an advantage, to show public that 'even losers can do it'

I would like to read something related to shady side of entertainment world... I don't think the book will go into this direction which is a pity because I suppose Beast could know something about it (still remember how on KBS Hello they were giving advice which kind of companies trainees should avoid)

Why is the father of someone in Beast writing about idol success?

It's not just about 'finding success in idol world', it's also to inspire young kids to reach for their dreams and used his son (Dongwoon) as an example. Basically if Dongwoon was able to conquer obstacles and challenges to do what he loves (B2ST) then anyone else can turn their dreams into a reality too.
