continuum 993
I'm just a bit confused as to what people generally associate a fanboy of SNSD to be. When I tell other people that I like SNSD, they invariably react with either a "EWWWWWWWWWWWWW! that's so gross." (judging me as a horny fanboy who faps to their MVs) or a "OMG LOL GAYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyyyyyy " So what do you guys think? What people make up the population of male SNSD followers? and why do these totally different reactions happen in the first place (I think it's pretty easy to understand why but I want to see what others think) oh yeah this is my first OP post so tell me if I'm doing anything wrong, thanks EDIT: changed "it's pretty" to "it's pretty easy"

maryan 11,519
i think people just aren't used to a hardcore fan that isnt a girl because most fanbases are made up of chicks so they react by saying dumb comments like that

You either can't exist because how could girls like girl groups or you're lesbo I think a lot of people seem to think if you are a serious fan / stan of a pop artist or group you are probably sexually attracted to them.... abra 40,910
I don't know. Would it really be similar with groups like SISTAR and GsD? Maybe they'd just be considered pervs I think a lot of people seem to think if you are a serious fan / stan of a pop artist or group you are probably sexually attracted to them.... Like... WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE THAT JUST LIKE (K)POP MUSIC? If you're a fan for the music you're not as likely to be hardcore stanning Which is why girl groups tend to have a bit calmer, and older, fans

KL. 196
Well my friends who are dudes, said that K-pop is gay and those who likes K-pop are also gays except if they like the hot chicks dancing/showing their glorious legs and nice curves-------> SNSD. Genie became quite a trend in our country, topping music rankings in music shows.

~Yotsubato~ 3,849
I dont mind whatever people, say. Listening to SNSD songs (than I enjoy very much) and being a fan is something I am passionate about, there is absolutely no shame to that, I am proud to be a SONE and I wont try to hide the fact that the wait for the 2014 comeback is killing me .
