For dancing, I'm gonna have to give it to Kai. Taemin is a great dancer but Kai's edge is his charisma and his stage presence. Love him or hate him, you can't deny that he shines on stage. 

 

As for singing, Taemin is obviously better. But Taemin improved tremendously from when he first debuted so instead of it being innate talent, I'd contribute to hard work and diligence. Kai's singing, as of right now, isn't horrible horrible. He has nice tone and if he works hard, he has the capability to improve and be on par with Taemin.

I never saw Taemin really played a guitar :o

 

Dancing, I don't follow Kai's closely, from what I saw, I think Taemin is more flexible and fluid. He has his lazy moments but in serious moments, Taemin is definitely not lacking in charisma & stage presence. His stamina has been proven in many long concerts, really not lacking.

 

Singing, he was lacking at the time when the other vocalists have received proper vocal training and he hasn't. Along the way, he trained later then he's now has vocal technique on par with main singers. I also think to be able to learn fast and effectively to catch up this far is a talent in itself.

 

Ages are near, entering SM times are also near to each other.

Both trainee era and debut era have +/- on their own. Both eras made them gain experiences and learning. After debuting, idols do limited types of dance and songs over and over repeatedly on top of stressful mind to deal with. They don't have as much time to explore talent and learn something outside their routines. Extra training to catch up must be done in the middle of already hectic schedules. But maybe stamina is in advantage here.

In trainee era, it seems like they have more chance to explore their talents and skills more freely. The timing seems not as strict either. But it seems like they don't have enough certainty that can motivate them training even harder.

I hope Kai can go Taemin.  From Main dancer to Main vocal.. Oh well, I hope anybody from EXO can go Taemin.  -_-  One of the biggest improvement in Kpop. I remember Taemin begging for someone to hear his singing and look at him now.

Both of them are around the same age and the same school year and both started training (got into sm) around the same time.

Kai has more predebut training compared Taemin. Taemin only had 2-3 year training prior to debut.

lol not a fair comparison, why ? because Taemin have more experiences you can see he one one rare idol that have such a big improvements through years, age doesnt matter here because taemin have more experiences dealing with real life idol so it help him to improve a lot more than kai who is just training and debut and his group are just 2 years old, and he is one of the member in a group of 12 not 5 so its pretty obvious it's not fair, because who know in 3-4 years later he can improve like taemin ? we really don't know what will happen in the future, right now as himself or exo themselves they never really showcase all of the members talents yet so does kai even have a chance to show ? and i'm not even talk about his improvement through years lol cause right now taemin obvious gonna own him there no need for such polls like this thats why i said not a fair comparison
