Region act is voted by a voting poll but the Worldwide act is chosen by board members of MTV. This year they didn't chose two winners from Canada and Korea which were Justin beiber and BAP and instead the board members chose Shawn mendes and got7.

Region act is voted by a voting poll but the Worldwide act is chosen by board members of MTV. This year they didn't chose two winners from Canada and Korea which were Justin beiber and BAP and instead the board members chose Shawn mendes and got7.

So korean act is a standalone award now because until last year you had to win korean act then asian act to be qualified to win world act.
