I just got back from watching it in IMAX 3D and will wait until more people who've seen the movie to post anything spoilery. 

 

For me, I was slightly disappointed in the movie. There were definitely some great visual moments, but overall, the story for me wasn't too amazing.

marvel hired a great actor to throw him away after 1 movie. ugh. mads deserved better.

 

and ia, the visuals were top notch. loved the scenes that take him through different worlds. but the story wasn't all that impressive

I heard the scenes would be trippy in IMAX 3D , but it barely had any 3D effects.

yeah i dont think the 3d really added too much cept the parts youve already seen in the trailers...

 

but a movie in 3d, in general, is becoming a worse movie experience for me. i thought this movie would break that trend, but it didn't.

Is it just me or 3D glasses always dim the movie? I would watch it without 3D if it was just IMAX.

speaking of imax, lol... don't get me started on the distorted sound (especially in interstellar) that imax gives off. ive watched way too much movies recently and i've learned that the best way to see a movie is just to see the regular version of it. i've realized everything else is a gimmick used to suck additional money outta your pockets.

You have to watch interstellar in real 70mm IMAX (it's epic as fk) and not liemax. I watched Interstellar in Lincoln Square and it was amazing . I had watched Civil war in IMAX 3D in that same theater and it wasn't that great since it wasn't in 70mm (didn't fill the entire screen) and I hate digitally added 3D.

I always try to pick the best seats since it has reserved seating and Lincoln only had Dr.Strange in normal 3D or without 3D , otherwise I would have went there instead of the AMC on 34th next to MSG.
