I will be so pissed to see him on Kpop star promoting himself while these girls are locked up in the training room. I think YG needs to be careful. This isn't 2013 where Big 3 groups are guaranteed domination simply for existing. Anyone can get left behind these days if they don't promote well, just like they can rise to prominence if they do, despite what company they're coming out from.

 

Also, fans can only do so much when it comes to securing BP a rookie award, so why are they being penalized if they don't get it? If any thing, them not recieving it would be a failure on YG's part

This is one of the reasons I now support Black Pink and have grown tired of the "overhyped!11" screams from some of yall. I feel so bad for these girls, they are imo one of the most talented girl group that debuted this year, maybe even on par with IOI, they have adorable likeable personalities, and you can tell they are passionate about what they do.

 

In spite of all that YG gives them NOTHING in return? Not only that he puts an enormous burden on their shoulders and makes it THEIR fault if they don't win an awards, THEIR fault that they don't get any chances to interact with fans. He's essentially punishing them for his own mistakes and lack of promotion and to top it all off it's emotional blackmail, I don't even want to think about how they'd feel if they didn't win. Tbh according to a few translations what they said was more along the lines of they were hoping that winning a rookie award would prompt him to give them more opportunities to meet their fans. So he didn't say that them winning rookie awards would directly correlate with them meeting their fans more. That being said, he's still a dickhead and I can't stand him and that smug face of his.
