With absolutely 0 promo and after Apple messed up the release by making it available in the US a day early than it was announced to be released (Nov 4th), Kris Wu's song entered the US iTunes Top 50!

 

It's currently at #50 and he's the second artist to enter the Top 50 & 100 after Jane Zhang.

Fans in the US were surprised to discover they could already buy the song yesterday and neither Kris or his team have posted that it's already available.. only fans tweeted about it.

 

And yet!!

It's #1 on the Electronic chart!

The song is written by Kris and produced by Karl Rubin (two time Grammy winning producer). The song is entirely in English and it's amazing!

Jane had tons of promo and her fans were very much prepared to inflate her sales lol...

 

Kris' is a surprise and unauthorized release. It's not gonna go that high. It's lucky to cross the top 80 mark.

Pretty sure that was a different chart? Like the Pop chart and the MV chart or something. This is for the overall chart in the US.

 

Anyway the info came from a the verified account of the Billboard Baidu bar so...

That's kind of a sketchy source tbh? if you look at the bottom that one screencap has been reposted several times and you can't really see or tell which store it is or if it's even a genre chart. Do you have an official source? Because if he did enter that then I don't know why a verified music chart account wouldn't acknowledge it...

I found it mentioned on his Wiki with this listed as the source, but it's in Korean~

Actually if you read the Korean source it only mentions the Pop chart and the MV chart... which is also what I initially said lol (because I googled it after you brought it up and the English sources all mention those two charts).

Lol mess @ apple. They're getting worse, seriously considering to stop using it but all my favs r using Apple *cries*. I'll go check the price on iTunes and consider

Kris Has Vin diesel to promote for him and the movie XXX Xander Cage. And Kris has a big fan base. Just saying. This a kind of promo too. Much better promo than Jane Zhang's.

He deserves it, is a really good song.

I like it as a non Kris fan.

Except no? Vin posted about it the next day lol, way after the time crucial for it to gain momentum and chart higher and Xander Cage isn't even out until January. Jane also has a big fanbase.
