[soompi] Uhm Tae Woong’s Solicitation Case Is Closed, Actor Releases Official Statement

The lawsuit against Uhm Tae Woong has at last come to a close.

 

Upon conclusion of investigations, police determined that Uhm Tae Woong was guilty of solicitation of prostitution, and was fined for 1 million won (approximately $875).

 

Previously, Uhm Tae Woong was sued by a woman (hereafter referred to as “Aâ€) in July for alleged sexual assault in January this year. It was later revealed that the lawsuit was an attempt by A and the massage parlor owner to get money out of Uhm Tae Woong, as A was facing arrest for fraud. A has been booked for false accusations and blackmail, and the massage parlor owner will also be going to trial for the same charges.

“Today, all investigations were concluded regarding the lawsuit against Uhm Tae Woong. Uhm Tae Woong was respectful in his cooperation with the police, and he deeply regrets the disappointment he has given his family. We will be relaying Uhm Tae Woong’s personal statement as well.

Uhm Tae Woong’s statement:

 

“This is Uhm Tae Woong.

 

“To everyone who supported me and cared for me throughout these unfortunate events, I sincerely apologize for causing you worry.

 

“More than anything else, I am so sorry to my family, who were hurt the most.

 

“Even if it takes a long time, I will do all I can so that the wounds inflicted because of may heal even just a little bit. I will continue to reflect on my mistakes as I live. I apologize.â€

His wife got pregnant during July. When the news came out in August, she was 5 weeks pregnant and this massage parlour visit happened in January. It is still urgh!!    I don't think I can ever forgive a guy who cheats. On top of that he has a daughter.
