There were civil wars every time a king died and a new era was established. After 1975, everyone was basically dirt poor and the economy turned to shit because of subsidisation when Soviet Union was still around. Nowadays, at least it is in peace but things didn't get much better economically. We have also just had the biggest marine life pollution in our country which created a massive scare among consumers with the fishing industry, which is also the lifeline of many people living in those areas.
