Haha, I am in Vancouver and we only snow like once or twice a year. 

 

Been in Canada for super long already. I wouldn't even know where to go if I go back to Hong Kong. I was in an international school in Hong Kong like Jackson. He was the one that attracted me to Got7 as I found him really relatable

I also feel Jackson is not the same anymore. I don't know if it's because of exhaustion, stress or he has something to worry about but something feels different.

 

People visiting this thread or random lurkers probably feel we overreact but we wouldn't worry if he was the same person he was in the past. And all that talk about wanting people to 'forget the old fat Jackson' and comparing his body to others screams depression. I've had the same problem, it got better now but not accepting your body and constantly complaining about it when it looks healthy is worrying. I hope he feels better about himself in the future.

I am a new comer and I want to put my first post here.  I found this thread and this forum through htuvecila's translation of Jackson's interview in GQ.  I have been lurking since then and finally decided to create an account to join this thread.  I really love the posts here which are written with Jackson's well being in mind.  The deep thoughts here really warms my heart that Jackson is being loved by so many fans who really care for him.  

 

Welcome to the thread :D I hope more people who lurk here join us like you I guess I should post here more often to make this thread alive :D You're not the first person who told me that they've never been into kpop and that Jackson is the first idol they like so much. He's so charming :') We just can't help but love him.

 

I'm glad that you enjoy reading our long rants and discussions and you feel the same way about him

My main sadness regarding this situation is how people are reacting to our concerns. Yes, some people may feel these are over sensitive. However, if they really feel we are one big Got7 family, would they really

treat a family member like that? Shouldn't they comfort and ease that concern by being supportive but point out positive points to relieve that person’s agonies instead of crucifying a person that is already in distress?

 

 

Yeah, to be honest I'm afraid to express my opinions / concerns lately and I considered leaving the forums because I see that in many GOT7 threads, especially where health problems are mentioned we're being blamed and no one understands us.

 

I don't want it to seem that I'm against what other people in the fandom think (because often Jackson fans are in the minority when it comes to certain things), but at the same time I think we should be able to express ourselves and I hope people understand why we're worried. When someone tells me that no holidays or 4 free days a year is normal, especially when someone is sick so often I'm asking myself in what conditions those people live if they think it's normal?? 

 

I wish more agreed with us but after few long discussions on these forums I realized it's impossible. I hope no one who reads this thread thinks we're overreacting and I hope we won't have the reasons to worry about Jackson in the future.

 I'm so happy to hear that he was happy and energetic during the tour final. It's been a while since we saw him in a good form :D Japanese fans who attended all concerts said Jackson looked the best this weekend and he was like a different person after he rested.

 

 

IN OTHER NEWS, the tracklist for the album came out! It's a surprise for me because Jackson didn't compose anything but we know how busy he was recently.

The admins from the U.S fanclub said more than 10 presents and letters were mailed to them for the Jackson birthday project. I thought it would be more, but I am a little happy that's it's not a lot because that means Jackson can be able to see my presents and letter quicker once he gets his U.S presents 

 

I went all out on it tbh. I even made the envelope so that it stands out. I could have bought envelopes, but nah xD

I'm not getting my hopes up because it's stupid JYPE we're talking about. We need a miracle for them to listen to Jackson fans.

 

A lot of Jackson's Chinese fansites have been preparing gifts for Jackson for months already.

 

After this announcement, many came out expressing their shock, sadness and even anger. 

 

One webmaster commented that she/he already received many packages for Jackson before this. While this webmaster was organizing these gifts, tears wanted to fall because she/he could feel the thoughtfulness of the fans. He/She really wants Jackson to be able to feel this for himself. They are currently trying to communicate with JYP to see if there is anyway to let him receive gifts one last time.

 

Many are saying this is due to incidents involving another JYP group. But I saw one comment that I thought made sense. These people who are doing bad things, won't care about the new rules you set. As these people have already been breaking rules, these new rules only affect good fans that actually follows them. Furthermore, this may actually get some good fans to cross over to the other side as they feel that is now the only way for them to get closer to their idol. 

This is so true. Why is JYPE punishing all fans? Even SM never reacted like this and incidents with sasaengs and crazy fans are common there. And if they really have to introduce those rules, can't they just let the fans of Somi Mina and Jackson give the presents since they already prepared everything?

 

JYPE is so disappointing. Don't they understand that they make fans who are good to the boys angry? I hope they won't force GOT7 to leave sns if the problems with crazy fans continue.

I still don't understand the logic.  I know people in another thread are praising it, but it doesn't make sense.  People are saying, "Good, because that money will go to charity!"  Do they honestly think they will give that money to charity?  If they weren't doing it before, they aren't going to do it now just because JYPE artists posted messages on Fans, obviously at the urging from their company.  If anything, they'll buy more albums or something else bias-related.  Furthermore, if the reason is because of a sasaeng, then how does barring gifts prevent that? That's why I don't think that it's about a sasaeng.  I don't think JYPE is that dumb... 

 

Okay. I mean, I do think they're that dumb, but still... If that were the issue, common sense is to file a report against said individual for trespassing/harassment and make an example out of them + be more attentive to relevant security.  JYPE is a big pushover, so if they could finally be sensibly firm just once in an issue that does not involve Suzy, that would be huge for them and even better for their artists.

 

Besides, it makes better sense to say: "Effective April 01, 2016..."  As someone else said, this type of gift support takes months to prepare and people usually start sending things early.  It's hard to just "send it back."  JYPE has dealt with fansites for how many years now?  They should know better, especially when it comes to artists who are foreign, since they will especially have lots of overseas fans.  Most of those gifts will gathered early for insurance of delivery.  Even I knew that, and I don't even follow this birthday support.  It's common sense.

 

I just don't get the logic.

Does anybody know exactly what those two Chinese shows are about?  One is obviously some idol show, but the other...? 

 

It seems he's going to have a relatively active month in China.  These two shows, possible DDU filming later, and probably Go Fridge near the end of the month.  After JYPE's lack of professionalism in China early this year, it's amazing that broadcasts, especially DDU, still have their eyes on him. I'm still lowkey shocked that Go Fridge didn't drop him, what with all the negative press surrounding his affiliated company.

 

Some things I'm looking forward to:

1. Go Fridge's return

2. Jackson going back to black hair

3. Jackson going back to the jungle and coming back looking like the Hulk again. Hahaha

4.  The next album after this one, where Jackson might actually be able to participate.

Not accepting gifts for Somi (her birthday is in FEW DAYS), Mina and Jackson doesn't make sense now that their fans have almost everything ready. It's JYPE's fault because they didn't announce it earlier and what they're doing won't help the situation.

 

Fans who crowd near their dorm will keep doing it, how can banning gifts help???? 

 

Jackson's fans prepared so much this year and they can't show it to Jackson, it's just cruel. I won't be able to forgive JYPE if they don't agree to take them. I JUST CAN'T.

 

 

 

Jackson is joining Up Idol's second season, I don't know if he's going to be a guest or a regular. They didn't change the cast of S1 but they'll be adding few people to S2. He Jiong was one of the MCs for S1. They say two women will be MCing S2. On this show celebrities come together to film for 1 night and 2 days.

Star Detective is a show about solving quizzes and task given to guests. In the poll for this show they asked people to choose the most suitable people to join the show and listed smart idols. I'm not sure how it'll work. He Jiong is rumored to be on the show too. Can't help but think that he helped Jackson to be chosen to at least one of these shows.

I feel like He Jiong is going to be pivotal for Jackson's career in China.  He's the mentor who is desperately needed when you're trying to enter the Chinese market, ESPECIALLY when you're under a label that is as unprofessional in said market as JYPE.

Same. He has more connections and power than powerless JYPE. JYPE is still hated as a company in China. People don't hate Jackson though which is good.

 

I hope the rumor about He Jiong making a teen drama with Jackson in mind was true too. Jackson wanted to be a 'famous singer in Korea' but you always need a back up plan. China gives Jackson more opportunities, I've accepted the fact that Jackson can be only 'one of those funny foreigners on variety shows' in Korea.

 

And we're Jackson's fans so we dream big like Jackson ;)

Hey! Apparently, HunanTV uploads Up Idol onto YouTube as well.

 

Yes! I've noticed it when I wanted to see how the show works and searched for it on yt.

 

 

 

Jackson can do well in Korea, but only in a certain bracket.  The Funny Foreigner bracket. This is his third year in variety, yet he hasn't even gotten a CF like other variety idols, which a shame, because he is a loyal and dedicated spokesman.  In terms of marketing alone, I would choose him over other variety idols just because I know he will actually promote the product.  On top of that, his presence will transcend the Korean market and hit China to some degree as well.

 

It's sad. And he had only one solo photoshoot, even the person interviewing him for GQ was surprised.

Don't cry, Ocarina, besides sending post card, I also prepared a 3 pages long letter to Jackson and half a page of Chinese with my poor hand writing.  Also I got a 1 page long letter for Mama Wang too.  I feel a little bit uneasy when Honey Jackson said she is going to make a message book for Jackson's letters.  I hope Wang is Back is not doing it the same way as I don't want anyone else to read my letter besides Jackson.  

 

I am seriously looking around in my country's charity projects and choose one to donate on behalf of Jackson.  Sigh!  How can I show Jackson he is being loved by us?

Since Junior and BamBam already left MCountDown, I wonder if Jackson will leave inki too. They can't keep working Jackson like this. 

 

Funny how some people during Jackson's health situation were saying Jackson wants to say yes to these shows, how can JYP say no to that, they respect their artists decisions. But when it comes to personal gifts now, they are saying it is a good idea because JYP is making a decision for safety of their artist. 

 

OH THE IRONY!!! hahaha

 

I'm getting stressed when I think how much work Jackson will have to do soon. It's scaring me. It might be worse than in the previous months.

 

JYP should at least be nicer to Jackson, doesn't he know how hard he works? I've never liked JYP and JYPE (and I'm a fan of JYPE groups) and my hate is getting stronger.

Don't get excited over these rumors or messages about Jackson being in the lineup of something before you see him fly to China to film them. Chinese shows like using hot names in those messages to hype up the shows. Usually only part of the rumored lists would turn out to be true. Jackson was rumored to be on the Chinese version of WGM and "ladies over flowers". It's likely that he's invited but they ended up being just rumors. Just be happy that he's taken as a hot name there.     

But another guy from JYP joined the Chinese version of WGM (Daxun) and the rumor about Song Ji Hyo joining turned out to be true too so you never know
