First-generation idol Kangta appeared as a guest on 'Abnormal Summit' on October 31, where he chose the most impressive junior artists!

He said, "In the past, there was no case of an idol group producing, writing lyrics, and composing, so that was a strength unique to me, but these days, everyone has so much talent and every group has someone who composes."

Sung Si Kyung asked, "These days, amongst your hoobaes (juniors), are there any that make you think, 'They're no joke'?"  Kangta replied, "There's been one for a while, and they got even scarier now: Big Bang.  As time passes, they get even stronger.  They're unique.  They're the first [of their kind] in the history of idols in our country."

Jun Hyun Moo said, "I thought you'd say a group from SM but you have a conscience," and laughed.

He is not wrong. Big bang haven't even hit their peak yet arguably, as this last comeback could be considered their best selling. There is also the fact that they left for 3 years in a face paced industry like kpop where even established groups lose momentum for not coming back 2 years

This is saying something.

Same. Even for some of us VIPs, we get worried about them losing popularity whenever they go on long hiatuses, but they still come back even stronger. It's astonishing. I admit, I didn't thought the whole MADE one year project would be a success, but it is.

A tweeter posted a video, which I think is Kangta too, saying similar thing back in 2010.

2011 seemed like the end for Big Bang. 2012 they came roaring back and they reached new heights. MADE broadened their appeal in China. It also made the Big Bang brand stronger.

Several posters expressed disbelief that this next album would be there 3rd full album. On twitter and even here, people have wondered what BB were doing to release so little music. Yet they are on top.

Music, music, music is what have allowed them to overcome prolonged hiatuses and scandals.

omg yes. 2011 were some dark times. It annoys me whenever other kpop fans say that knetz and general public are biased with Big Bang since they are not hated for their controversy. Sis/bro, where were you in 2011? They were hated soooo much. Every VIP felt the disbandment coming, we were so worried. It still awes me to see them overcome all of that. And ya, even though their 2012 comeback was a success they had such a long hiatus afterwards that some of us VIPs were unsure if the whole MADE project where they will release a single once a month is a good idea or not. We were not sure if they could keep the hype going and top the charts each month. But they did. It's just amazing

"As time passes, they get even stronger" this is a perfect situation to describe BIGBANG.

Like seriously, back in 2011 VIPs and BIGBANG were at our lowest point. VIPs were afraid they would disband. I remember when they were spotted for the first time at the airport after all the scandals heading to EMA,we were all crying and that's our turning point. Since then, there's nothing could stop us then alive happened and they grew bigger each time. Really on their own league.

It's simple. To me, Big Bang's songs have always been the type that is currently hot among the public. It's like their music grow with the trend, so it's always fun to listen to their songs. Even as a non-fan, I really did enjoy most of their releases.

I hope Big Bang will stay relevant for as long as possible.
