This happened with 2ne1 (with their monster rookie year,) Winner, Lee Hi Akmu Ikon (didn't even wait until their debut was over most of their other title tracks during their debut did worse than the first) and now recently Blackpink whom I actually thought were going to go higher are actually performing worse than their debut too.. Why do you think this trend happens? What do you think can stop this? Do you think BP will do better in their next comeback and not follow the YG curse? Also thay have more competition compared to when they released square one, Exo and BTS entire albums are charting, ofc they would go down at this hour... I guess it's because it's before YG has the chance to mess up/get lazy/arrogant/over confident. Princess Peach Momo 1,499 Posted October 31, 2016 Share Posted October 31, 2016 Aside from BP just having comeback like 4 hrs ago , and all YG rookie groups being around for 2 yrs or less (so you really can't talk about peak at all at this point), I actually think YG does an amazing job when it comes to debuts. He builds the hype and they always deliver. But it's like he lets the groups fend for themselves after and lets the music talk for itself rather than the actual act (you know, going on variety shows and actually promoting).
