So,I heard Vic Is filming a movie soon. But I thought she was going to shoot a drama with Rain ? Did it change to a movie or are those two seperate projects ?

I'd rather have her do a movie than shoot another 50 ep drama tbh.

Can I just express how happy I am about Luna's current badge ? Her last one was so so tragic that it always brought me close to tears everytime I saw someone sporting it.

 

Amber is working her black/dark brown hair like no other. She looks absolutely hot and cute at the same time. I'm starting to ship Amber x striped shirts.

Her getting all teary eyed during the Borders performance just makes me appreciate how much care and love she puts into every single one of her songs.They might not be everyone's cup of tea but it's the message that counts. Even if it inspires/ brings happiness to just one single person it's definitely worth it imo.

 

Also happy that Vic finally wrapped up Ancient Love. I'm guessing she's off to promote MBFW now ?

Can I just say how great this year has been ? I mean if you compare 2014/15 to this year. Other than Lunber’s breakthrough in the first half of 2015 we barely had any activities/updates from the girls. All we lived on until their comeback was seeing them at random events, photoshoots, pic of them filming and IG updates. In 2016 so far we had:

 

 

• Jan-Feb Dimension 4 Docking Station in Seoul
• D4SD Japan tour
• A couple of f(x) group performances
• Group photoshoot (Vogue)
• And a million other photoshoots not just from Krytoria but all the girls
• 3 station singles incl. a group release (Borders, Wave, All Mine)
• Amber’s Crossing project (OMO,NTFD and upcoming Breathe Again)
• Amber directing more videos for herself and the group
• Luna’s solo debut EP (incl. self-composed songs)
• Victoria’s drama ‘Ice Fantasy’ airing ( and that one movie we’d all like to forget)
• Vic working on two more dramas and a movie
• Krystal filming a drama and movie in China
• Amber’s upcoming acting debut in the highly anticipated tVN drama ‘Entourage’
• Krystal bagging a new CF with Giordano
• Luna MC-ing for ‘Get It Beauty’
• Lunber becoming an (un)official EDM unit
• Amber’s reality show ‘Ranting Monkey’
• Luna’s YT channel and show ‘Alphabet’

Sulli has also been doing well for herself landing photoshoots left and right and big campaigns such as Swarovski and now Estee Lauder. She also filming ‘Real’ which I’m personally really looking forward to.

 

 

I’m sure I’m forgetting some bits and bobs but JUST LOOK AT THIS BIGASS LIST

 

 And we still got Amber’s album coming up, Luna’s ballad single, more D4DS dates, and a lot their acting works airing in the second half of the year.

 

 You can tell the girls are trying their best to stay in touch with us fans and being super appreciative. It feels great seeing the girls being more in control of their careers. It would feel weird not getting a yearly f(x) album but I think it makes sense looking at what each one of girls have on their plate. I’m still going to complain because it’s an innate skills us f(ans) have perfected over the years but deep down I’m alright with it.

 

Question: Are there still things that you want the girls to do ? Even if it's random or impossible lol

 

Personally I'm still waiting on that Krystal photobook and Luna becoming a fixed radio DJ.

Just heard that Vic's drama with Rain will have 80 episodes and will take at least 4 months to film. I don't like watching abything more than 20 eps personally but I think 80 is an overkill. Just imagine the amount of filler episodes....yikes.

Does anyone know anything about the plot ?

Since I just saw a thread about it which f(x) title tracks are the most overrated/underrrated ?

 

Overrated : E-shock

All the 'yeahs' and 'uh huhs' and 'ohs' in the song are really getting on my nerves. I liked it when it came out but I can't even watch the performances nowadays. The only reason I didn't choose HS is because I know the majority of the fandom doesn't't like it anyways.

 

Underrated: RPPP

This was a tough one but I ultimately chose RPPP because of all the hate it got when it came out. I think everyone was expecting something really different after seeing the teasers but I genuinely think it's a good song. However, I do agree that it doesn't really represent Pink Tape as an album.

Overrated; pretty much the same as you. I seriously used to hate Electric Shock, but I've grown to like it. I think it's clear, however, that F(x) have way better songs that get less appreciated.

 

Underrated: Red Light. I seriously still get goosebumps while listening to it in full blast in my headphones. The whole album is a masterpiece.

I feel like when it comes to Red Light it got mixed opinions initially but a lot of people loved it after getting used to the transition. I often see threads on OH about which songs people hated at first and now love and RL always seems to come up. I want them to just perform the concert version from now on lol

Overrated title track: definitely Hot summer but the hook is really good when it's summer you definitely will sing it regardless which Era we are in, especially where I am now.

Underrated title track: RPPP of course attention boys and the colors and the epic Ness of pink tape.

Overrated: EShock, it got me into f(x) and kpop overall but it's a very plain and formulaic kpop song (not as bad as Hot Summer though in terms of being generic). It's still catchy which is what that kind of song was built for, but I appreciate other title tracks.

 

Underrated: NU ABO, probably still my favorite title track from them. It truly did deserve to win at the time at least one stage but oh well. EShock's numerous wins made up for it. NU ABO also signifies what I feel is more "Experimental" in f(x)'s sound that we hear today.

I don't think I've posted in this thread before, hi everyone! I've actually been an f(x) fan for quite some time now, but I only recently started posting on OH. SNSD was what drew me into kpop, but f(x) made me stay in it - both the members and of course the discography/MV concepts.

To join in on the debate, I'd say Nu ABO/RPPP/ Red Light are all really great title tracks, if only because of how "experimental" they are by kpop standards. It actually still blows my mind how Nu ABO made it into a title track for such a young group, the song has no chord progression, the chorus is "na-na-na-na", and most of all, just listen to the backing track lol. It's literally full of random house noises, and it sounds a lot like the house music of 2007-8 (could almost imagine guys like Mr Oizo or SebastiAn doing it...).
RPPP is a bit more conventional but the melodies were awesome (the harmonies before the first chorus!!), and the "eastern" sound was a nice touch.
And finally Red Light is just brillant, you get the same sing-talk as Electric Shock etc, trap textures and sounds, a reversed song structure ("trappy drop"-->high tempo chorus"), massive bass plunges, and of course that glorious Luna/Amber bridge.

So yeah this is my first post, I've been lurking for quite some time but I couldn't resist the temptation of spazzing on these amazing songs

Since we're on the topic of Sulli anyways..

 

 

I think she should be more careful what kind of people she publicly associates with. Especially as a spokesperson for certain brands. She can't choose photographers she works with when it comes to magazine or brand/CF photoshoots but other than that it's her responsibility to look out for herself. It's little posts like these that can blow up into a full fledged witch hunt especially since haters will jump at any opportunity to hurt her.

So i was kinda looking back at the thread to see what f(x) was up to last year this time round. They were recording songs.... ;~~;

I had a very strange and sad f(x) dream last night.

 

It was like I was watching some sort of documentary or a Forensic Files-type show. The first part I dreamed was LAV talking about Krystal and about f(x), and it was really like I was watching a show. One half of the screen was video footage of Krystal from magazine shoots and things like that, and the other half of the screen was split into three little windows for LAV's faces while they talked. Then they said that they hadn't seen Krystal in a while because she was somewhere in the US, and they weren't all that concerned because she was supposed to be with Jessica and other friends. They were more concerned about Sulli, because she'd just found out she couldn't have children for some reason (and there was a cut over to a physician saying it was common for busy girls her age because they would think they were fine and healthy because they were young and would also be too busy to go to the doctor, so things would go unnoticed). And while they were busy comforting her, they heard a rumor that Krystal had died somehow. They all said they didn't believe it, that there was no way it could happen because they would have heard from Jessica or from the company or from her parents. But then Luna said there was one person who would know. The shot changed to one of EXO Kai backstage of some concert, getting ready to go on stage. He told the interviewing person that he'd been dating Krystal for a while but hadn't heard from her. The interviewer told him about the rumor and he ran off further backstage, and when the interviewer followed him, they could hear Kai on the phone talking to Amber, saying that she would be the only one that Krystal would pick up the phone to talk to while she was away. And then it went back to the first kind of shot, but on the one half there was a slideshow playing of pictures of Krystal and Amber, while the other half still had three little windows for LAV but Amber's was bigger. The look on her face was heartbreaking. And of course, I woke up before I could figure out why they focused on Amber or if Krystal had died. It felt scarily real though, as if when I woke up there would be the same documentary show waiting for me.

 

Wow that really intense !

I'm wondering what SM is thinking tbh.

Where is the D4DS tour we were promised ? I wasn't expecting a world tour with Europe/USA dates but where are the Asian dates ? So far we only have Thailand confirmed but what about China, Taiwan, Singapore etc ? You can't tell me that organisers are not trying to get f(x) because I'm seeing groups with smaller fanbases doing concerts.

I'm not the one for overworking the girls but it's been at least a month since Krystal wrapped up her drama, Luna finished promos in July. I know Amber is working on her album/project as well as shooting for 'Entourage' but it's a minor role. Vic is filming but she always is and will continue do so in future. The girls will always be busy with individual stuff but it shouldn't stop them from doing concerts. Other groups (SM or not) always have members doing their own thing but still do tours, why can't f(x) ? It's disappointing honestly.

 

 

4. Another kind of signature of f(x) songs (up to 2014 anyway) are those random snippets of talking (but not rapping), usually done by Sulli or Vic (eg. "gappunhan! deo ppareun!" in Step)

 

f(x) has made sing/talking into its own genre tbh.

I wrote this essay length post for the anniversary yesterday but OH decided to crash and everything I have written is gone T.T

 

Honestly I'm just happy that the future for f(x) is looking bright and secure. It's been such a wild ride and I'm just glad that I was able to be part of it. This thread and you guys are probably what made me stay an active fan for such a long time. It's now quieter than it has ever been but I'll always treasure our fun and somtimes heated discussions, crazy spazzing and our obsession with betting lol. I'm happy that there are always new fans joining and keeping the thread alive.

So I'm seeing some Vic stans wanting her to leave her managment in China because of the whole Yang Yang mess. How is that female manager that defended Yangx2 in any way related to Vic or her actvities ? I thought she had her own studio and employed that male manager whose name I have forgotten ? If she didn't like how he was treating her (in a professional sense) then couldn't she just fire him ? From my understanding she is her own boss in China and her manager is supposed to help her get deals when it comes to her acting and commercial works. While I'm personally not a fan of her acting works in China I always assumed that everything was fine with her managment ever since she created her studio.
