dazzlingpaw 819
I'm ordering a lot of clothes + diverse products on a website and it's over 300$, I have free express shipping thanks to the final cost of my purchase. So here's my question, have you ever got custom fees with EMS? I heard that you (almost) always get custom fees if your package is shipped with DHL, have some of you experience this? because rip I really don't wanna pay 150$ or more of custom fees for my order ;-;

Kimberly Lipington 3,562
I don't think you can avoid them unless you pick sites that use carriers that don't have a fee. Like sometimes when I buy from dollskill I have to pay a customs fee (from the US to Canada) and sometimes I don't. Its all luck of draw.

Canada is very inconsistent with that tbh
Little Eight 6,542
Customs fees are pretty much inescapable where I live, you'll have to check with your local country laws on what qualifies or use a duty calculator https://www.dutycalculator.com/ Sometimes it does depend on luck though. For example 90% of the time when I buy from Japan I have to pay but I never have to pay when I buy from South Korea or China.
Seopatra 1,767
You can't avoid them unless your package is delivered home. The only way to do so is to label the packages as gifts but that's against the law and many online stores are against it.
Vip ex-Elvis 597
Depends on your country, but most of the methods to avoid them are illegal so
waffles8000 541
Canada is very inconsistent with that tbh i agree.. i got charged 29 dollars in duties fees for a 14 usd product once (even tho they made a mistake and i had to write all these emails and claims and send invoices and mail letters to get 10 dollars back), i ordered again and i didn't get charged at all wtf
