^^^^^^

If so, then can you tell me your experience on applying them and describe your feelings during the process.

That is because I am going to write a novel on college students and writing about a chapter regarding this

Suggestions are welcome :ohbi:

My husband just got his bachelor's degree in engineering without taking out any loans, all his classes (except for a couple of summer classes he paid for to get through quicker) were covered by Pell grants and scholarships. As far as I know applying for the Pell grant was fairly easy, he was glad that he was eligible because otherwise we would not have been able to afford it. The scholarships were random state scholarships awarded for things like graduating from a community college and going on to a university.

What is actually student loan?

My country doesn't use student loan system in universities but there are lots of scholarship and I have applied once when I was still in university

It's basically a loan from the bank. You can get grants from the gov. which you don't pay back, but you have to reach special requirements. Federal loans are based on income and there are two types. Subsidized and unsubsidized. One loan gathers interest while you are in school and the other does after you finish school. You don't have to pay back the loans until after you're finished with school, (deferment), and there is usually a grace period to give you time to find a job.

No loans, shit is unlit.... but I applied for scholarships simply using the university applications, they all required a short essay (like maybe 3 paragraphs) describing goals and how the money would help me achieve them as if that's not obvious af. So yeah. I just wrote a bunch of a bull.
