JYP Entertainment unveiled their new rookie group GOT7. On the 15th, they held their garage showcase and showcased their debut stage on various music programs, already at the center of the attention. In fusing together martial arts and bboying, they carry out an impressive performance with martial arts tricks and have come out with strong, addicting music that has JYP’s special sound. Not only that, but they also have stage manners that can’t be seen from rookies that they show off. They’re all ready to be on their toes as KPOP’s representing candidate with talent found in Namyang-ju, Mokpo, Jinhae, Ilsan, and other places within Korea as well as foreign countries like United States, Hong Kong, Thailand, etc. By building the nest in JYP Entertainment, we decided to hear their reason as to how they became GOT7 and why they wanted to be singers.



JB: My original dream was to become a dancer. In joining JYP, I started learning how to sing and I thought at first of how useless it is to learn singing, considering I didn’t know what I’d do with the inquired skills and knowledge so I continued to focus on dancing. And naturally, I wanted to become a vocalist of JYP and then crazily began learning how to sing. Since then, I’ve grown to like it. If dancing is a part of my daily life, then singing was something I was crazy for because I wanted to do it. With time passing by, I felt like it was fate that I became a singer. I honestly didn’t learn singing to become a singer. I just liked singing.


Jackson: I was originally a fencing player but got cast into JYP. At first, my parents disapproved since my family were all involved in sports. My father was a fencing player and my mother was a gymnast. Of course, the people in our surroundings believed that as a son of two athletes, I would also become one myself. To add on top of that, my father was a gold medalist in the 1978 Asian Games and my mother a world champion gymnast in the 1982 games, so their expectations of me were high.

 

Despite both my parents and a lot of people in my surrounding being against the path I wanted to go down, I thought this would be a good opportunity so I convinced them. I wanted to do both fencing and music. My dream then was to win a gold medal in the Olympics but I still had my dreams of becoming a rapper. I really wanted to become a rapper that I came to Korea. I went to an international school while in Hong Kong and had gone to school with Korean friends. I enjoyed listening to Korean rap from seniors like Dynamic Duo and Dok2, and Korea is a friendly country to me. The good thing about rap that’s better than fencing? I really love both.


JR: I just wanted to become a celebrity ever since I was younger. I…I just respected the people I saw on television. That was how I came about learning dancing and because for the first 3 months I would be all talk about how I wanted to become a celebrity, I didn't work hard. The one day, my father told me, “You’ll never be anything no matter what you do.†In hearing his words, my pride was severely hurt. So in spite, I worked really hard for 3 months to prove my dad wrong. After 3 months, dancing was ingrained in my body. I continued to dance and was qualified in the JYP auditions. At the time then, I enjoyed dancing still. But at one point, I asked myself seriously, “What do I want?†and the answer to that was music. There was music, singing, and dancing…I wanted to do something related to music so I never thought of anything else. I think this was a chosen path for me since I was younger.


Bam Bam: My mother was a fan of Rain ever since I was younger. She would always take me along when seeing his videos, dramas, or even his concerts. So subconsciously, I began to like Rain senior and started dancing. Since then, I found out about JYPE, Korean culture, Korean food, and started taking up an interest in Korean music. I was lucky enough to qualify in the JYP World Tour Auditions in Thailand. The only disappointing factor was that when I joined JYPE, Rain senior had left the company (laughs). From the influence of Rain senior, my mother opened a Korean restaurant in Thailand and thanks to his drama “Full House,†my mother found out about bean paste stew, kimchi stew, and jjajangmyun. If I ever have the chance to meet him personally, I want to greet him and tell him, “I was able to be where I am today thanks to you.†My favorite food is seolleongtang, samgyupsal, and beondaegi (laughs). 


Youngjae: Since I was younger, I enjoyed singing with my older brother. When he enlisted in the military, I thought to myself, “Is there a more detailed way that I can sing?†after I started singing alone and that’s also when I started attending the applied music academy in Mokpo. When my brother discharged from the military, we continued to sing together while I was attending the academy; currently he’s a vocal trainer. I started to think, “I wish someone would know of my music†and at the time, our academy told me that JYP was having a private audition when I wanted to become a singer so I received nearly a month worth of training after auditioning and trained for 6 months to be a part of GOT7. When I practiced, I always sung ballads. 


Mark: When I was in the States, I had no interest in Korean artists. But after being cast at school, I auditioned and qualified. My friends and parents all told me that this was a good opportunity however, that I had the right to take it if I wanted to or to not do it if I didn't. I came to Korea with the mentality, “Let’s try it.†I had the opportunity to stand on stage for a showcase as a trainee and my first stage was so fun. Since then, I took my dreams of becoming a singer more seriously. 


Yoogyum: When I was in elementary school, I liked being in the spotlight during lunch time. When there was music, I’d always move around and it was up until my 2nd year of junior high that I would watch videos of choreographies all day on the computer and not study at all. My mother thought, “What is he going to do…should I get him into dancing?†Then at a retreat, I performed BEAST seniors’ ‘Shock’ for the talent show and my older brother uploaded it onto Cyworld. My cousin came across the video and contacted me, to which I found out later that she was a dance academy instructor. With her recommendation, I was able to attend the academy and somehow, one of the other instructors at the academy was also a dance instructor for JYP trainees. So the connections continued but I still considered to become a dancer since I loved dancing then. But I remembered of how I wanted to become a singer first so I began learning singing and found joy in it, so now I’m perfecting on becoming a singer skilled in both singing and dancing.

[FAN-ACCOUNT] SIMPLY KPOP January 20, 2014

 

This will be pretty long and mostly focused on GOT7, Dal★Shabet, and TOPP DOGG. This was such an awesome experience and got TONS of fan service and love from the groups.

 

Simply KPOP is a music program on Arirang currently hosted by Eli from U-KISS. It is much more intimate than other music programs, very foreigner friendly, but the recording is so long running from 6pm until 10:30pm. This was my first time going and I never tried going before. Now, I will attend more tapings to see more of my favorite kpop artists!

 

I was chosen for the pre-recording of Two Song Place, GOT7, and Hong Dae Kwang. Of course, I was going to cheer on my boys of GOT7. It was around 2pm I would say that we got situated inside the small studio. Because my friend and I won through the ticketing, we didn’t get in with the fanclub so no sticker on our attendance card =( but we got to be the first and second in line so we sat at the very bottom of the steps near the entrance where the boys come out.

 

The first to record was Two Song Place and we had FT Island fans behind us. Seung Hyun from FT Island is very tall and handsome, but also seemed quit and reserved. He would talk little to the fans and they recorded their intro and two different times in different outfits. Afterwards was Hong Dae Kwang (a contestant from SSK4) who did his ballad with all the fog roaming around the floor (the staff has to mop all that up!!) We kept seeing the boys in the waiting room when the doors would open up. We kept getting excited, but first we had to exit the studio because I believe the boys had to do some test run and also switch out the fans. We waited in this stairwell and eventually got to seat back down in our same spaces again this time with GOT7 fans behind us. We even had some cool girls behind us who were Jackson and Mark fans. Even the cutest little fanboy.

 

My friend and I made signs for our boys: Our mission was for them to notice us and get some love!! ã…‹ã…‹

 

The boys finally came out and a lot of it is a blur because they were so darn close to us!! We were so happy and excited with our signs. However some stuff I do remember is that the boys would smile at us, wave, give us signs. It was wonderful. The boys had to go out and come back in like 3 times. Bam Bam came over to us and gave us all high fives until he reached me and made it into a fist so WE FIST PUMPED! Jr. also gave us high fives. JB gave me a smile when I yelled his name. Mark definitely acknowledged my sign cause he smiling and waving. Although he is really shy and nervous he doesn’t know what to do. ã…‹ã…‹ During the slow move cartwheel, It was so weird to see it right in front of me. Also the line up part was funny to see on the side when Bam Bam just kicks out his leg. At one point Bam Bam comes running back onto the stage looking at the fans and giving us aegyo when nobody followed him and the staff had to drag him back to the door. We all just laughed at that cute moment. Best moment was at the very end of the pre-recording when Jackson looked straight at my friend’s sign and just walked straight to her and gave her this cute bro-hug. She totally freaked out and I did too along with her. The little fanboy behind us said “ì˜ìž¬í˜• 사랑해†and Youngjae looked a little freaked out. HAHA and he even shook his head no when a girl said he was handsome. That was just the pre-recording, which finished around 3:30 I would say but later on comes the entire show recording…

 

Our meet-up was to be back at 5:40 nearing to 6pm. We gathered downstairs of the Arirang building, but later went back up and found out another girl signed us in so were once again in the very front of the line so we got the same spots again!! We got to see many artists this time… the first to come out was GOT7 as they did their cute introduction for another artist all in English. The boys noticed us again, but this time it was just one take and we tons of Bam Bam love. Mark noticed me again and I was just content with that. There was also Wax, AOA, and 1N1.

 

For Beat Win, I was enjoying their performance and smiling when one member looks at me and does like some tongue action thing. Oh my, I don’t even know, but I laughed. For Dal★Shabet, it was pretty awesome. The girls came out and I yelled out Jiyul’s name that she came over and grabbed our hands and said hello. During the second time they came out I called out Serri’s name and she also came over to me and did the same. These girls were super nice and sweet. All the members said hello and waved. One foreigner asked me if I personally knew them. Well no, I just know their music and names, and I like them so I called them out. Plus, I am a foreigner so that is also unique. Eli also came out to do some of his MC parts on the other side. Something regarding cats, which moved into introducing GOT7.

 

The second part began as we switched sides and so we had to grab all of our things and move. We got the same spots basically with new people behind us and now TOPP DOGG fans coming into the studio. Kim So Jung and Heo Gong, 2BIC, Airplane, Wa$$up, Kiss&Cry, and Blady came into the second part. TOPP DOGG was just absolutely cute. I was never really into this group, but now I gained some interest with this song “Open the Doorâ€. I particularly like Kidoh, Hansol, and Xero. My friend told Seogoong he was handsome, but told us he was sick (pointing to his eye), but we still said he was handsome either way as he smiled. We also called out Nakta and he smiled and waved. I swear Xero kept staring at me or maybe it is just my imagination cause I kept looking at that little cutie. ã…‹ã…‹ At the end Hansol came to both sides giving everyone high-fives. Royal Pirates was also awesome, but they only played once. We screamed and gave lots of love to the members. I am particularly biased towards James. ã…‹ã…‹ Eli also came out again to our side this time to do his MC parts and interview the girl next to him about the show.

 

The day was long, but absolutely amazing being able to communicate with members and get lots of love. I am seriously a happy GOT7 fan and it was amazing to meet all these new people who are KPOP fans just like me. The best part is that they are not mean, delusional, and kind fans. Like one girl at the studio…

Lastly, to that annoying U-KISS foreign fan… you are lucky that none of us got up to your face and just knocked you out. I am not aggressive and I hate confrontation, but you were absolutely rude and annoying. If you ever EVER dare to call GOT7 something mean again I SWEAR I will say something directly to your face. Whatever you are thinking just keep it to yourself. Don’t think that you can say whatever you want in English because they probably won’t understand. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. The majority of these boys CAN speak English not only your beloved U-KISS.

I had applied to go to the showcase because I was a big fan of JJ Project and the other boys had caught my interest from WIN.

Since you can find all the main song performances that were recorded at the showcase HERE and on Youtube, I’m just going to recap the showcase and include some things that happened that might not have made it into the Youtube-verse.

Hong Konger Wang Jia Er disobeyed father, abandoning fencing to venture K-POP

Hong Kong fencing athlete Wang Jia Er (Jackson) became the first 100% Hong Kong born K-Pop idol, his boyband GOT7 released their debut mini a day earlier, hoping to create an impact in Asia market. Jackson working schedule is very tight and his father, fencing coach Wang Rui Ji head to South Korea yesterday to reunite with his dear son.

South Korean company JYP in the past has successfully promoted Rain, Wonder Girls, miss A etc. This year, they will be actively promoting GOT7, which include members from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. GOT7’s Hong Kong member, Jackson Wang was a fencing athlete while his father is Wang Rui Ji was the former coach for Hong Kong fencing team. Jackson’s father once opposed his son in entering Korean entertainment industry; he hoped that Jackson will continue his studies in either Hong Kong or USA, continuing his career in fencing. Jackson’s mother was also worried for their son being venturing career in a foreign country by himself. After persistent persuasion by Jackson, his parent finally allowed him to realize his dream.

Reuniting at TV station

GOT7 debut mini 《Got it？》 was released yesterday, and the 7 members has been busy promoting the album. As Jackson is unclear whether he can return to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year celebration, his father went to South Korea to visit his dear son. Unfortunately, as GOT7 have a string of recording at several TV stations; it was difficult even to have time to meet up for a meal. Jackson has no choice but to arrange for his father to attend his recording in TV station so they could meet up.

Cantonese coach for miss A

As GOT7 senior girlband miss A is going to hold a show in Hong Kong this Saturday, members Fei & Jia are busy rehearsing. Both of them approached Jackson to coach them in Cantonese. Currently, JYP is aggressively promoting GOT7, hoping to challenge SM Ent ace boyband EXO. GOT7 is attracting a lot of Asian fans due to their multi-national members, their Thai member Bam Bam once took part in Hong Kong movie 《Fairy Tale Killer》 portraying the son of Lau Ching Wan and Joey Meng.

Jackson’s father accepted interview and admitted that at first, he wished for his son to focus in education: “I wish he will study overseas in US while continuing fencing training. Plus, my wife is reluctant to let him go to South Korea alone. In the end, we decided to let him try it out.†Recently, he flew to South Korea to visit Jackson, unfortunately during his 3 days trip, Jackson was busy promoting the album, to which he sighed that there was too little time to meet up. “Even no time to have a meal together!†He added that Jackson is very busy, he most probably won’t be able to return to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year celebration.

[HIGHCUT Interview] JB shared his thought how he ended up joined JYP : "When I was part of a b-boy crew and completed a preliminary round for a competition,I went into the bathroom and right when the door closed, I was 'bathroom casted' by a staff hyung. After that, I tried out for the JYP audition and tied for first place with Junior and entered the agency."
Jackson shared, "I was playing basketball at my school when I was recommended by the JYP casting team to try out for the audition,and I was first place among 2,000 contestants in the four-round global audition." 
[GOT7 before debut] "We would practice for 12 hours from 10 AM to 10 PM everyday. As much as we really worked hard, we have confidence. Although there are pressure and worries, we will show a good image and breathe life back into the agency."

JB picked the gifts after just looking at the wrapping and shaking them. Jackson's looks hella ghetto.

Upon seeing Mark's gift, Jr: "See, how are you going to write in that?" *picks up his gift, the pens*

Yugyeom got JB chocolate bars.

BamBam got JB really cute socks.

Youngjae had the most money but got JB a T-money card.

Jackson's gift is inside a Shinsegae shopping bag. "How about this design though? Doesn't it look LV?"

JB pulls out Jackson's gift from the shopping bag, and it's in a black plastic bag with a purple ribbon tied at the top.

Jackson wants JB to know how hard he searched for that purple ribbon.

After all that buildup from Jackson, the gift is a bag of 부대찌개 and a bag of 순ë‘부찌개 (spicy sausage and tofu stew).

The video editor keeps pointing out Youngjae's 고구마 (sweet potato) socks. They are purple but toes are yellow.

Jackson's Korean accent is kinda cute.

If this episode gets 100,000 views, GOT7 will do a fan chatting with the fans for 20 minutes.

One night, I sat face to face with seven lucky guys. GOT7, new boy group from JYP Entertainment in 6 years after 2PM, are about to make their debut in a week. They said “We just created autographs last week,†getting excited at giving their autographs on instant phoros. They are innocent and naive boys, but they already look professional at our interview being so natural. Our first meeting was very ejoyable with ‘promising’ seven talents, JB, Mark, Jackson, Jr., Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom.

How was GOT7 named? And please tell me briefly about your team.
JB: GOT7 means seven members who’ve got the luck, got together, and go on forever. It was last September that the company confirmed our debut.
BamBam: Our title song ‘Girls Girls Girls’ has a chic guy concept, a sort of older brothers who lives abroad and are on a roll. The lyrics say that girls are drawn to us like iron filings to a magnet even though we do absolutely nothing to them. 
Yugyeom: It is hip-hop music that has an image of ‘golden boy’ who studies hard and plays hard as well.

Please explain specificallt the ‘martial arts tricking’ performance you will show onstage?
Mark: It is a combination of acrobatic dance that 2PM performed, Taekwondo and Capoeira (Brazilian art form). There are more kicking and turning moves. As a JYP’s trainee, I learned acrobatics for a year and wanted to try something new and showy. So, I started martial arts tricking. Some members, including me, have been practicing it for 2 years, which is the longest period. Those who joined last learned it for 3 months like BamBam and Youngjae.
JB: BamBam was relatively a quick learner considering 3-month practice, and Youngjae…., he is in charge of vocal part, so. (laughs)

What was it like to hear you were supposed to make a debut soon? Did JYP Nation members congratulate you on that?
Jackson: After I heard out debut was confirmed, I got more nervous when training. Until then, our goal was to make a debut, but it all changed. I felt everything would begin afresh after our debut. So, I trained very hard keeping on my toes.
Youngjae: 2PM members, who are very close to us, congratulate us a lot. They are like older brothers to us.
BamBam: 2PM membersand producer Park Jinyoung told us to get along well and try to find a solution with team members if any trouble occurs.

Now, it’s time to dig into individual members.
Jr.: My birth name is Park Jinyoung and my stage name is Jr. I take on vocal, dance parts and the role of mother in our group. The leader JB plays father, and I take care of team members like mother.
Yugyeom: I’m 18 years old, the youngest member in GOT7. My character is the essence of pureness in the group (All give a standing ovation at the phrase ‘essence of pureness’.) I take on dance, vocal, and rap parts. My strength is street dance. When I was 15 years old, I won second prize in a step dance battle to the house music.
JB: I’m the leader, taking charge of soulful vocals and ‘sexy charisma’. (Again, all give a standing ovation) I was scouted by JYP in the restroom. When I belonged to a B-Boy crew, I participated in a competition. After the priliminary round, I went to the restroom, took off my snapback and closed the door. At the moment, a JYP staff spotted me and offered to work with. Since then, I got several calls from JYP, auditioned and finally shared the first place with Jr. in JYP Trainee Open Recruitment 5th Audition.
Jackson: I come from Hong Kong. While I was playing basketball, JYP casting team passed by and called out to me, “How about auditioning for JYP?†I won the first place out of 2000 candidates in JYP Global Audition comprised by 4 competition rounds. I’m in charge of rap and martial arts tricking, taking on ‘wild and sexy’ character. 
Mark: I was scouted on the street of a LA high school. I’m a rapper and flying member taking charge of ‘freedom’ in the group. I’m the best at martial arts tricking.
BamBam: I’m from Thailand and 18 years old, the same age as Yugyeom. We are the youngest. I am in charge of rap and dance as the cutest member of the group. (Beam with a big smile) I was scouted from JYP Global Audition.
Youngjae: My name is Choi Youngjae. I’m from Mokpo and 19 years old. While attending an applied music acedemy, I auditioned for JYP and passed. After 7-month training, I’m finally about to make a debut. I’m a powerful lead vocal.

JB and Jr. already made a debut as JJ Project in 2011. Now, you are about to make a re-debut as a new team. What is it like?
Jr.: GOT7 and JJ Project are two separate teams. Since I’m about to re-debut, I feel like I go another way. I think it is a good chance for me to make another debut as a new team because when JJ Project has something to be desired, the other 5 members fill it up, and vice versa.
JB: JJ Project is not a unit of GOT7, but another independent team. We are planning to release more albums as JJ Project.

These days, a corder named ‘Bum around’ on TV-show <Gag Concert> is much talked about. Two jobless men enumerate what they would like to do if they became entertainers. Likewise, imagine what you’d like to do after becoming famous?
Jr.: I’d like to play the music I made and get into the rhythm being deeply fond of it in my own studio. A glass of wine should be on the table without reason. (laugh)
Yugyeom: I imagine all the audience would shout for joy when we show up for our own concert in front of them who are so many that they look like computer graphic.
JB: After becoming famous, when I have a day off, I’d like to drive a car alone to get to the beach.
Jackson: When I release my solo album some day, I’d like to direct all the work related to the album as I wished.
Jr.: Like in the movie <The Great Gatsby>, where Leonardo DiCaprio holds a great fancy party in a stately mansion, I hope many people would come and enjoy our music when we throw a party.

You are the first boy group from JYP in 6 years after 2PM. It is a matter of pride as ‘top 3 entertainment companies in the music industry’. Tell us about your future plans and how you feel before your official debut.
Jackson: Only a week to go before our debut. Gee! I hope we keep on our toes even after we gain popularity.
BamBam: I feel responsible and worried, but the best moment is yet to come. I hope we will be able to show all the good sides of our team. We need to feed the company. (laugh)
JB: We’ve been practicing everyday for 12 hours, from 10AM to 10PM. We are confident because we’ve been working really hard. 
Youngjae: I hope the results are good or not, and that we remain unchanged as a polite group wherever we go.

Q: Bambam has a cute character.
Bambam: Actually I don't really know(laughs). I can't do things like aegyo. 
Jr.: All of our 'characters' were made by people. In Bambam's case, because a lot of people said he's very cute, so his image became 'a cute child'. Actually, both Yoogyeom and Bambam are same age maknaes, but Bambam looks more like a maknae. 
JB: Actually, Yoogyeom's face looks like his age. It's just Bambam that looks very young. 
Yoogyeom: Bambam, that's foul! (laughs)
Mark: (for this sentence, he's saying something like bambam has grew in height i think? idgi lol). The first time I met Bambam was 2010. At that time, he totally looked like a baby. His height didn't even reach my shoulder. 

During the interview, Mark showed a picture of himself and Bambam in 2010. He looks about 30cm shorter than he is now. Mark said it feels weird(new/different) to see 'child Bambam' now.

Bambam: At that time, I was 135cm. I can grow taller while doing our activities!
JB: I don't know if I have to look up to Bambam later(laughs) (note: b/c Bambam might get taller than him)

Q: Yoogyeom is the maknae. As a maknae, which hyung do you want to be like?

Yoogyeom: All of them have different charms so I can't choose. I want to be like everyone. 
Jackson: Everyone let's close eyes and Yoogyeom point at one person(laughs)

Q: Who eats the best among all of you? 

Jr.: The best eater is Mark-hyung, the one who 'eats deliciously' is JB-hyung. I would drool if I see him eating next to me.
Jackson: 7 of us can eat 6 chickens, and I can eat 1 whole chicken by myself! 
JB: I can't eat greasy things. Instead, if there are soup and rice, I can eat 4 bowls by myself.
BamBam: Suddenly, I want to eat chicken curry (laughs)
Mark: it's not only eating chicken. One time, we saved an amount of bossam and bunshik(probably from restaurant http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunsik http://en.wikipedia....i/Bossam_(food) ) to eat it as midnight snack. Even though I'm the group's best eater, my body is very thin. Even when I eat a lot and also exercise, I can't gain weight. It's a big concern. Yoogyeom: At first, I couldn't understand it but now that I see it, I understood. I'm always hungry and I keep eating in distress. (he probably gains weight easily) 
Jr.: I also have a pride of a man. I want to have muscles, I want to build my body(laughs). I do a lot of muscle training.
JB: Actually, I don't have muscles right now. It is to match in with Mark, Bambam and the members. Now, I justaim to keep it this way. 
Youngjae: I'm always jealous of Jackson's muscles. His thighs muscles are amazing.
Mark: Jackson always exercises after eating to maintain his body.
JB: What a stubborn body (laughs)

 

Q: Come to think of it, Jackson seems very quiet. Is he a serious type?
Yoogyeom: Make sure to watch music video making. You probably won't be able to say he is serious(laughs)
JB: Right now, Jackson seems very quiet, but once you get close to him, he has many of opposite charms. He's the goofiest member in GOT7. And the next one is me? (laughs)
Yoogyeom: Because Jackson is so funny and playful, our practicing time is full of happiness. I feel so happy that I can't say anything else. I couldn't even control laughter.

The boys are absolutely ADORABLE!! We couldn’t do post-it notes apparently (well they couldn’t write out answers), but I should have left mine in anyways. I was nervous and excited… I always get this way. 

 

I got to the venue exactly at 5pm when they were supposed to stop giving out numbers for the fan-sign. I ended up being #87 out of 100 people therefore I was at the top in the last row. The fan-sign didn’t start until 6ish and the boys came out from the back. They did their greeting, went down the line introducing each member, and the fan-sign quickly started!

As I was the last row, I basically watched the boys do random things like every time girls would call out their name they would send hearts, give peace signs, or Jackson “YES! YES!†ㅋㅋ These kids.

 

 

The first member is JINYOUNG… the cutie Jr. had to be the first one and I was like OMG! WHAT DO I SAY! I kind of froze, but I was just looking at his face telling “I am 누나!†ㅋㅋ Also, for some reason, “YOU ARE SO CUTE†tends to come out of my mouth a lot *smacks head* After saying my thanks and casually moving away the camera girl goes to him and he repeated what I said and I kind of look back and say “진짜 귀여워â€. I hope that is on camera =P Also, make-up cordi 누나 person… tone down on Jr.’s makeup.

 

 

Mark… AWKWARD! But I still love him. I was actually really prepared on what to tell him. I was shaking as I hand over my letter to him, as he is signing away. I told him I had a gift for him and if he could please wear it. (My red and white dotted bunny ears) What does he do? HE WEARS IT! ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ and next to him 진ì˜ì´ had a headband with mouse ears. He looked super cute (and I found of photo of me with him in it! YES!) I was like “Mark, do you even remember me? I go to a lot of your shows. But, I do have one question to ask… I heard you lived in Paraguay. Do you know any Spanishâ€. Unfortunately he said no because he lived there when he was really young so sorry ladies, this boy knows absolutely zero Spanish. I finished by telling him he was my favorite member and he kept saying “Oh, thank you.†Which I am pretty sure translates to, “This 누나 is crazy!†Also, I pretty much talked the whole thing ><

 

 

유겸아!! How are you even the maknae… How are you 16 years old!? This boy is tall and has like pretty manly features, but when he sheds a smile and with those sparkly eyes he totally looks like a kid. ㅋㅋ I was staring at him. Like legit, I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. I get all giggly and tell him “리셋 누나!†I mentioned he was cute and handsome (YES! BOTH!) and he shyly said thank you. YOU CUTIE PATOOTIE!

 

 

*sigh* Bam Bam. I think this boy was born to be an entertainer. He makes you feel so comfortable and just loves to talk and interact. He makes you feel so at ease. It is wonderful. His English is absolutely adorable too cause it has sort of an accent. I forgot to do the heart mission, but that is okay! I greet the boys with “안녕!!†and he tells me how my Korean is good. I guess my accent is on point. ã…‹ã…‹ We switched to English as he asks me where I was from. I said America/New Jersey to be exact and he seemed impressed. I told him I have seen them perform a few times at music shows and I thought he said he remembers me, but instead said “I will now remember you Lissette at shows and for next time.†Yeah, I kind of squealed inside. YOU BETTER REMEMBER ME! You 16 year old munchkin. 

 

 

Youngjae is probably the most awkward member for all foreign fans because we still don’t know much about him. He was the member we all couldn’t come up with something to say except something along the lines of “You have a good voice/Your singing is great†and even I forgot to say that. I am pretty sure he is a hidden gem that we will soon discover. He smiled so brightly though as he signed and said “리셋 누나!†I did tell him he is really handsome in person (cause that is the only thing that comes to my mind ever!) but he was really shy about it too.

 

 

Jackson is pure swag. But can you believe I actually don’t remember having much of a conversation with him. I went up to him and said “Hey, Wild and Sexy!†as he laughed. I told him that was a good clever nickname and it fits him well. I also mentioned how amazing he is on stage dancing. That was pretty much it that I can remember. How weird. ㅋㅋ

 

 

JB is such a sweetheart and a great leader. From the look on their faces they are always surprised to see foreigners. He did ask me how long was I in Korea for, but I told him I am an English teacher. I live in Seoul. *surprised* I mentioned that I liked him since JJ Project/Dream High 2 days. I think he was taken aback being that I am a white girl who knew him from a while ago. He was the only member that can sign something extra at the end so he wrote a cute note as I bowed, said my thanks, and back to my seat I go to fangirl over these little cuties.

 

After all the boys were done, one by one they would stand up from the tables and come to the front starting with Jr. then Mark, Yugyeom, and so forth. They just started talking to us. Jr. and Mark would fool around, they told Yugyeom to do a sexy dance (because he is resident sexy dance machine apparently). At one point my bunny ears were passed down from Mark to Jackson then to JB. Mark was fooling around with Jackson.

 

Eventually JB controlled the boys by telling them to go down the line saying their goodbyes. They also gave us a new year greeting bow and took a picture with all of us to commemorate their very first fan-sign event! on twitter

The boys eventually kept saying it was over, they had to leave and they slowly went towards the back, but kept peeking behind the curtain as JB walks towards the other side, but laughs and runs towards the right way.

 

IN CONCLUSION… the boys are terrific and sweet. I always wish I didn’t get so flustered or even remember that I wanted to tell them to get sleep, stay warm because they looked tired today. something simple… but my mind goes blank ㅠㅠ
