Ive always wondered how this works, especially because some idol rappers aren't particulary passionate about rapping but its just their role in the group. A lot of times the good looking members will just be made into rappers if they can't sing. A lot of rappers in K-pop are just performance rappers and are not meant to be creative. A good example would be nine muses since Eunji and Euaerin started off as vocalists at debut. However, once they started experimenting with rapping they got put with it because they were good at it.
