luxuriouss86 185
I found this question in Deuteronomy 5:8-9 How would you feel if someone took a picture of you, framed it, stared at it a lot, showed it to others, but completely ignored the real you? That's what crazy kpop fans and sasaengs do.

KrazyAjumma 1,925
As a Christian mom of 5 kids we talk about this a lot, ensuring that "idols" do not become idols in the true sense of the word. We also discuss ownership of self and matters of privacy in personal lives. We are only entitled to what entertainers want to show us, we do not have the right to personal photos or fantasies that defraud other people. I stop spending too much time on the internet, looking at kpop so I've been studying God's word since Monday. The scriptures I'm studying is Galatians 5:22-23: But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, Joy, peace, forbearance, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things, there is no law James 1:19-20: Quick to listen, Slow to speak and slow to become angry because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires Proverbs 15:28 The heart of the righteousness weights its answers but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil I'm going to be study these scriptures 100 times a day for 8 weeks

vocabulary 890
"Completely ignored the real you" I don't think they even get a chance to see the "real idol". Most people don't even show their real selves to their friends, much less fans?

Lot of KpOp fans wants to see their bias to look flawless but when the real personality came out they start criticizing them because it's not what they wanted ex: Hani being super easy going girl who burps during a show and curling her hair in the middle of it as well vs being perfect idol who only smiles, behaves ladylike and look pretty all the time

Isaac 3,215
That's true. Against such things, there is no law James 1:19-20: Quick to listen, Slow to speak and slow to become angry because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires Proverbs 15:28 The heart of the righteousness weights its answers but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil I'm going to be study these scriptures 100 times a day for 8 weeks That verse about the Fruit of the Spirit along with the ones below are a few of my favorites. I truly believe they are some of the most important principles that Christians should live by, in order to be a reflection of God. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. Also, I think I can relate to you about striving to make God the center of our lives, above all else. It is one of the main reasons I've decided to lessen the dose of kpop, and eventually abstain from it altogether. Bless you (:
