KingofKpop 570 Posted October 25, 2016 Share Posted October 25, 2016 I'd like to start off by saying I don't intend bash TWICE in any way, so ONCEs go easy on me lol So as we all know TWICE is extremely popular at the moment as proven by their latest comeback TT. My question to ONCE is that why do you think they are so popular? Here are their strong points and weaknesses: + Great Visuals + Extremely Catchy Songs + From a big company JYP + Easy to follow Choreography - Lacking vocals - Basic Choreography The only thing I'm curious about is there are many more groups with catchy songs and good visuals such as; Red Velvet, Gfriend, I.O.I and even WJSN latest song Secret was awesome! There are others that I haven't mentioned but you get the point So what is that special factor that TWICE have that the rest of their girl group competitors are lacking? It's because they have that X factor that makes u want to root for them to succeed. Their visuals are on point but are very distinctive. They have different charms from each other. All are attractive but unique. Bagel Tzuyu, cutie-sexie Sana, elegant Mina, cutie Dahyun, fake maknae Nayeon, our second maknae Chaeyoung, girl crush and chic Jeongyeon, active leader Jihyo and dancing babe Momo. I think Cheer Up MV showcased Twice very well. It showed that all of them have different charms and personalities. That each of them are special. People bring up OMG or Lovelyz but sorry not on the same level. - Foreign line are so freaking fresh. Seriously, this is the first and probably last time we're ever going to see something like Twice's foreign line. They're always and I mean always in communication with their fans. A week doesn't go by without some kind of interaction even when they're not promoting. In variety shows stealing people's hearts with their individual charm and uniqueness. They aren't afraid to just be a group of carefree girls. They're an open book. · Vitamin and Energy. They put a spin on the generic cliche concepts that plague most groups. A TWICE flavored spice. Name one group that can intro TT and make TT work the way it did. Aesthetically, TT MV is probably one of the best made MVs this year. The bubbliness and sass imbued in it gave it character.
