Are Rap Monster and Suga still hated by the underground community?

how can you when they made it big

they looked down on them because underground rappers usually view idols as "sellouts", and probably still do in that way, but for the most part, in terms of success you can't really look down on them

both namjoon and yoongi have directly called out the underground dudes that hated them so id imagine theyve shut up by now

the way namjoon just namedropped Gaeko the other day saying they were working together, the haters have to be eating their words a little too.

As long as I know except that forgotten rapper who diss kpop idol all the time most of the other don't really know about them.

BTS are more known by dancers than rappers

yes they got a lot of hate

you dont know much do you

Sometimes I feel like the only ones who care about the underground's opinions of RapMon and Suga are RapMon and Suga. Whenever they talk about stuff like that in their albums, I'm always like "Oh yeah, that." It's been a while and they're kinda on a different level now. They have other things to worry about and bigger fish to fry. Dk

Because some are wondering if the underground even knew them or had issues with them.

There's this for RM

[instiz] 160218 Idol rapper who used to be pretty popular among DC Inside hip hop community.bts

and comments from I-fandom who followed/still follow this stuff

I remember reading in reddit months ago, from someone who knows about khiphop, that Namjoon was indeed praised a lot for being a good rapper. He was so young when he started performing in the underground scene and that along with his talent caught a lot of attention. However there was a complete 180 degree turn from the khh community the moment they learned that he'll debut in Bts. The praises turned into curses and he was looked down upon which is bs.

i remember i was a part of this community, and the disappointment when he debuted as a bts member in 2013 was real LMAO its actually so sad how being an idol made people invalidate his abilities

it was really sad because there was a lot of hype for bts in the beginning too, it was all going good in the community until it was announced to be an idol group instead.

as of now the anti idol agenda still exists though it went down a lot after people like zico and mino are recognized for their skill, but rap mon and bts are still treated as jokes when it comes to hip hop because their music is indeed idol music.

Don't know how reliable those are of course. But petty people are everywhere and issues like these aren't new. In the end, it'd probably depend on where you look. Ah, and before it's misunderstood.. so far it seems to mostly be an issue between underground "fans" than the rappers themselves. I've seen them get praised by KHH critics etc., they had collabs or worked with them, so~

Lmao who cares, RM and SG collaborated with Tiger JK and his crew so that was a gigantic middle finger to the underground rappers who were running their tongues . RM getting that worldwide recognition and SG massacring them whenever he opens his mouth is enough for them to know their places.

@ whoever negged my other post. I don't even know what about it was neg-worthy, but I'm happy that I got you that easily pressed.

That shit is from hiphoplaya's freeboard.

Even Cjamm has clowned that board for being idiotic

Dunno, just gave the info I could find. OP can do whatever they want with it. I mean, Pann is the same and people still get their panties in a twist over it.

upvoted, partly because you taught me something new about rapmon ( like i knew about the hate but i didn't really know about his rapping before bts and stuff, i didn't know people liked then hated him. i thought it was straight because he was an idol rapper )

and partly because ur sig

RM also has connections with American hip hop artists too. When will they?
