How to lose weight?

coolcoolcool

Recommended Posts

I am overweight/almost overweight which is sad because  I used to be really skinny and I want to lose weight ASAP.

I'm trying to eat the least as possible without starving myself (two/three small meals a day) and working out 3/4 days a week.

Any other advice on how I can lose weight?

interval training.....

walk for 1 minute

run for 1 minute

do that for about 30 minutes

you can lose a lot of weight from just sweating so wear lots of clothes

try to only eat 2 big meals a day only

If you want to lose weight don't focus on losing it fast, if you slowly lose weight your body will adapt better and you most likely won't get all the weight back later.

I suggest you to eat healthy and that means lots of fruits and veggies, don't starve yourself ever it will only damage your body and don't focus on smaller portions because good things can be enjoyed until you are full.

If you want some help, you can PM me. ♥

If you've started minding your diet and regularly exercising, that's a really good start. Don't give up, and be patient.

Never skip breakfast, do not eat anything too late at night, and going to bed early helps as well.

Eat breakfast, do cardio, and make sure to eat healthy snacks throughout the day like fruits and vegetables or granola bar

I can't do breakfasts, eating early always makes me feel like throwing out for some reason

A few years ago, I used to be overweight. Now I'm around 112-114 lbs & maintaining my weight. I remember it was so hard in the beginning for me, but you have to keep pushing. There will be some days where it won't be easy and you will want to just say forget it and give up. But tbh, you need to get yourself in the mindset to stay strong. Just remember your goal.

- Have you tried using a fitness app? (like myfitnesspal or noom coach), I think it really helps a lot. That way you can keep track of the calories you are eating each day and not eat over your limit. You can also log your exercise too, and keep track of goal weights you will want to reach.

- Eat as clean as you can, but don't totally restrict yourself from junk. If you need to have a little snack, that's okay. Some alternatives would be to eat healthier snacks? Like, I would eat peanut butter with apple slices for example. When I first started, I would eat healthy all week and then on the weekend I would allow myself to have one cheat day. It helped. Also, like user above said, WATER. try to avoid soda & any other sugar drinks. As far as food goes, I ate a lot of fish, chicken with vegetables, salad, soups. You can find a lot of good recipes online. I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

- Exercise at least 3 times a week (as you are already doing). It will help immensely. Even just exercising for 30 minutes or walking around the block. I would try to get active in as many ways as I could.

Remember it's 80% diet & 20% exercise.

Remember CICO - Calorie In, Calorie Out. Your body needs to take fewer calories than it burns off. Count your calories, they usually have a sticker in the pack of every food to see how many calories they have per certain amount of size.

Start counting how much calories you take during the day, and minimize that. Don't eat as little as possible, you will experience a bouncing effect which will make you eat even more than before. Eat food with low calorie count, like vegetables, so you can eat as much as possible in order to feel full. In this way you lose weight without starving.
