Do you have an Accent?

Accent is subjective! Everyone has one.

For example, you wouldn't notice accent from people of the same region. But you would notice from other regions, just like those people would notice that you have an accent different from theirs.

I was raised in NC but we moved to Arkansas(ew) so my accent is fucked lol I speak too fast and barely pronounce words right so the cashiers at fast food restaurants always look at me with a "tf" expression but I find it funny but I can see how others would find it difficult to understand what I say.

I made it clear I meant a speech different from the majority of the country. I sound exactly like a typical American on TV. I don't consider that an accent.

You bring up good points. But I think what OP is referring to in terms of "having no accent" is a typical American (As in not Southern, Jersey, Miami, Valley Girl, etc.) speaking tone, that's what I always think.  :imstupid:

Then it's a dialect you're trynna find out? There's no such a thing as "typical accent" lol Brazilians think that accents from são paulo's capital are the typical ones, but not really.

But that's my actual point... It depends on point of view and there's no reference as to typical american accent, I don't even knew it was a thing because even those "learn how to speak" CDs have different accent from the multiple people that record it.  :ohbi:
