Yes! Early Kuu is very underrated, actually.

I'm hoping the winter best gives us something at least as good as EX TAPE. The song selection is actually pretty good, even though I still think DITR is a bit out of place, lol.

Why is the Kumi thread so rarely updated? :( Her new single "Shhh!" was put on sale exclusively at her rccent tour and it's pretty good. You can hear some of it in this video:

She's clearly taking her time, and although I appreciate the fact that she's done with being pimped; I miss her!!!

I need BE MY BABY, TABOO, LOLLIPOP, V.I.P, POP DIVA. TOUCHDOWN, XXX, IS THIS TRAP, WHATCHU WAITIN ON, BLACK CHERRY, SHAKE IT type of songs in my life. She's at her best when she's whoring it up.

I see there are a few people still following this thread, so what did people think of the W Face Inside and Outside albums?  The songs that stuck out to me the most at first were; Shh(I already liked it when it was released awhile back), Ultraviolet, Damn Real and Sukideshite. I have to give another full listen to both albums again though.

I realise this is a pretty late reply but actually I held off buying them because even though I love her ballads and upbeat songs, the idea of them being split up onto two separate albums didn't appeal. I'd prefer them to take the best songs from each and make one 10-12 track boss album.

Which one did you think was stronger out of the two? Or is it too difficult to compare?

Sorry for my late reply as well, I wasn't paying close enough attention to my notifications.

Honestly, at first the idea of two separate albums sounded cool to me.  However,  the more I listened the more I thought similarly to what you've said. I feel as if a certain number of songs should have been mixed together into one album. Then the rest of the tracks could have been bonus tracks on a special edition album version perhaps?

I thought I'd like the upbeat songs more over the ballads(although I do love her ballad tracks). In the end, I feel like one album of the two doesn't stand out more over the other for me after all. Not to say I didn't enjoy the songs or anything, but I do think as I mentioned earlier that one album would have been fine. Then a special edition one with the rest of the songs. What about you?

EDIT: I realize I didn't even give myself a proper intro to the thread. X_X Hello, I've been a fan of Kumi for about 8 or 9 yrs I think? It's been awhile lol. My favorite albums of hers are Kingdom, Deja Vu,  Japonesque, Walk of my Life and Universe.

I still haven't gone through and listened to them in their entirety so I can't really judge it fairly ATM. Usually I prefer to listen to music on CD, so when the album doesn't appeal to me enough to buy, it takes me longer to get round to listening to it on mp3 because it falls down the pecking order so to speak. I will get round to it soon though.

Japonesque and Kingdom are my favourite albums too, Japonesque is a clear no. 1 for me though. Never gets old and the MV's are awesome.

The standout tracks for me on the newest album(s) are Bangerang, Wicked Girls, Bassline, Sukideshite, On My Way, Promise You, and My Fun (though I go back and forth between enjoying it and going "wtf was that?" laugh.png).

Bangerang is my favorite.

I love the Japonesque mvs so much still as well. Everything was done so well and an improvement from Dejavu(which was/is still my top favorite album). The live concert for Japonesque(on DVD) is really good too. I do wish though, the interludes had been put on the same disk as the concert. They were put on a separate disk in the set for some reason along with the other bonus/behind the scenes features. Unlike what was done with the other live dvds, it made the transitions a little off when watching the whole concert in one sitting.  Still enjoyable though,
