♦ Literal Meaning: In Korean, the greeting is translated as “baek man eui hana†(literally â€in a million oneâ€,

the order of the words is reversed). Koreans say 1 Million as “baek - man/100 – 10000â€, so the girls raise one finger next to their face for the 1 of “100â€, the “Two Eyes†(which sounds like Twice in Korean) make up the 00, and the other finger is to show the “oneâ€, so 100-1.

 

 

 

 

♦ Twice's Meaning: Park Jin Young helped create Twice's greeting. He wanted the group to become

"the only one [like itself] among the numerous idol groups."

 

 

 

 

♦ Tzuream's Meaning: In Twice's upcoming mini album there is a song titled 'One in A Million', I'd like to think that it is a term that represents both Twice and Once. I then implemented the greeting into the Lottery (:

- The Lottery amount is 1,000,000 won

- We have 9 Twice members that always say they are 'One in a Million'

- Splitting 1 million won in 9 ways leaves us with 111,111 won portions (total of 999,999 won)

- Total of 999,999 won (Twice members) + 1 (Once aka one of us) = 1 million won

You can also see how for every Twice member there is a Once with them (111,111)

Just like Twice, Onces (1s) are also 'One in a Million'
