Why are Schoolgirl concepts Creepy?

I notice that a lot of i-fans will say they don't like Lovelyz of Japanese groups (Which is a genralization btw) because they have "creepy schoolgirl concepts"

But I don't get it, because those are the clothes that are age appropriate for them? Like...during a school week, those are you clothes your faves are wearing lol

The school girl thing is a huge open fetish in the west as it is along with east, arguably its only catering to what people/men like which is why it can get creepy. The difference I notice is that eastern groups relatively aren't as blatantly sexual as they are in the west (very short skirts, open shirts etc)

I suppose it's because the idea is School Uniform > Schoolgirl > Underage B&.

I think schoolgirl concepts are cute, but...They also attract pervert lowkey pedophile old man fans too so...

no, they're meant to appeal to other young girls who can relate to them (hence the school outfits)

Yeah I agree, I think school girl concepts are cute/cool cos they are being/embodying young girls and are therefore being relatable to young girls, and also younger boys who'd be crushing on girls their age

It's not their fault that old guys wanna perv on them. For sexy school girl concepts it's obviously designed to get an older audience, but for ones like Lovelyz, GFriend, etc, whilst they might not all be still in school them doing the concept is by no means sexualised.

So yeah I don't find (innocent) schoolgirl concepts creepy, I think it's the some of the audience who's creepy instead

even if she was 30 years old i wouldn't find it creepy. i get people find it weird that something related to childhood/adolescence is being sexualized but i never saw it that way. it was always just a costume to me.

and some private colleges require uniforms so it's not a strictly child thing.

But yet they say nothing when it's growl or boy in love. And if you denfend older girls wearing uniform, you're "encouraging peophilia". Why can't grown women not wear whatever they want?

And don't give the "it's not age appropriate" bullshit, nct dream are literally dressed like a bunch of 5 years old.

Truly, kpop fans being full of double standards.

It can't be denied that this concept attracts older, perverted men. But I also think that they appeal to a lot of younger fans as well, especially girls. I think companies use this a lot because it appeals to both older and younger people even if it's for different reasons.

While the concept itself isn't sexual so it can appeal to younger fans, it can also be taken as sexual material for perverts which equals more fans which equals more money
