Why do you watch K-dramas?

I only watch thriller type dramas, like signal, 38 task force, W and the k2 (although i dropped the k2) I watch them for their story lines, action scenes and charming characters. signal really got me hooked into dramaland tbh. oh and i like that they aren't as vulgar as american tv shows.

No haha I mean that the question was targeted for Americans because American shows are so much more different than k-dramas, whereas SEA dramas are a lot like Korean ones. Where are you from? :o

Ireland :har:

I watch and love both since they cater to my different tastes in genre. It depends on my mood or whats currently airing but I watch American shows for the suspense and plotlines. And I watch kdramas when I'm in the mood for a lighthearted romance and just want to switch off and relax

i usually hate the popular teen kdramas and i think it's unfair that some people think kdramas = to the beautiful you, the heirs, etc. There's some good ones out there. I've recently watched age of youth and i really loved it, i could relate it to it on a personal level and the humor was great. Reply 1988 was just as great and relatable.

I'm talking about more realistic, daily life kind of shows - that's what kdramas are good at imo

I do sometimes watch Asian or Spanish shows but overall I prefer the TV shows that I would get in my own country. Tbh I don't watch that many K-dramas but some are just really good. They have a different feel to them that can sometimes be a bit cringy but I like them.
