i'm sure it's very hard to go through that, since it's almost like failing yourself and your goals. however, if you're eating healthy and you stay fit, your weight shouldn't matter. maybe your bones are a little heavy or something; don't let the weight define you. <3 even if you diet, make sure you're eating all of your meals and it's okay to have a cheat day once in a while, don't starve yourself ever. :)

Just stop buying food...I haven't done grocery shopping in years... whenever i am hungry i just go into the veggie garden of my neighbours and then cook myself some carrot soup.... I'm just waiting for next month when their corn is grown so that I can add some variation to my soup  :dave:

As I grow up I have always seen my mom dieting and she has tried many things but failed... the only thing that actually helped was cutting all the foods containing added sugar. I guess it sounds extreme but if you do it you'll understand how much it affects your body and your ability to control what you eat. My mom successfully lost weight after a year and a half of detox and now is a vegan so she doesn't have to suffer anymore.

But it's really up to you, you have to control yourself, your health and well being depends on that, you cannot let something as basic as food control your life, you are stronger than that you just need a reeducation and you'll do fine. I'm all for people taking care of themselves.

Don't be sad over something you can change, really wish you good luck.

Yup. I have been in your exact situation. I used to be overweight, which was about almost 4 years ago. Now I'm around a healthy weight, or near there, for my height. However, it didn't go without screw ups because I did have a point, where I ate a bunch of junk and gained some of that weight back. It sucked because I had a good thing going, but I reminded myself, that losing weight is for good health well being. And that I worked so hard, so I shouldn't give up. It's cliche, but look at what you have accomplished already. You lost 26lbs. It takes effort and hard work to be able to do that and you said you still want to lose more, so maybe whenever you eat something that's "bad for you" (whatever that may be), remind yourself of that goal. That helps me, but it could be different for you or someone else, so sorry if I'm not a help. It'll take time and won't happen instantly, but I wish you luck!

Yes, I had lost a whopping 23 pounds in the past but ended up injuring myself.  Now it seems like I have one injury to another keeping me from returning to my exercise routines.  I am mad because I also became lazy and don't cook for myself anymore.  Now the weight is almost all back.  I am trying to get my butt back into gear with at least the eating part and slowing return to doing my exercises...staying away from the higher intensity ones.

I was chubbier in the first year of 2013 then I started working & i lost weight in the end of 2013 to the point that i looked like i was sick. if you like that then exhaust yourself to the point that you just want to sleep and not eat.

If you want Tips, well just Exercise, Drink Water with Lemon, Mint & Cucumber in the Morning (Like Drink it as soon as you wake up), set a chart on when or what you'll eat in the week & and of course look at how much calories you eat.

I think it's hard to most people to maintain a healthy diet specially because of the planning and effort it implies while fast food or junk food can be more convenient or maybe you just don't have the time to cook (or even don't know like me lol). Maybe you need to reevaluate your whole diet or just try to organize better like having a menu stick in you fridge or in your room in order to be aware all the time about your diet or allow yourself to eat whatever you want once a week.

Imho, I don't think diets are a good way to go anyhow. It messes up your metabolic rate in the long run, and can make it even harder for you to lose weight, and have the unavoidable yo-yoing effect as a result. It can also give you gastric issues.

If you want to lose weight, I suggest trying this:

1) Switch out all your sweet drinks (i.e. cokes and sodas), with water. You can have a couple of freshly-squeezed juices every once in awhile if you want, but not that often.

2) Watch your meal proportions. Rather than cutting out any specific group of foods, eating a balanced diet will help your body be healthy. Weight isn't really an issue; what matters is that you are at the healthy weight for your body type. By eating healthily, your body naturally attunes to the change in metabolism, and will help you not feel tired at the end of the day. The recommended proportion by nutritionists is around half a plate of carbohydrates, a quarter plate of meat and a quarter plate of vegetables. A lot of people recommend totally cutting out carbs to lose weight -- don't. You need carbohydrates for bodily essential processes. You can try switching to more slow-digesting, unprocessed, high fibre carbohydrates.

3) Avoid the fried, oily stuff. Try eating your foods boiled, or blanched rather than fried.

4) You can also try eating 75% of your normal portion at each meal and snack between meals. You will be hungry due to eating less at your 'proper' meal of the day. For snacks, avoid unhealthy sweets or chips or chocolate. Opt for some sweet fruit or nuts instead. By eating smaller meals + snacks, it helps to improve body metabolism and prevent you from being hungry all the time and over-eating also.

5) Don't skip breakfast! Use the inverted pyramid of eating i.e. your biggest meal of the day should be breakfast, then eat a large lunch and a small dinner. Don't eat anything after dinner if possible, as the body will have problems breaking that down when you sleep. If you are hungry, however, try to eat something small i.e. avocadoes, or nuts, 2 hours before bed.

6) Exercise. Don't try to laze on it and just diet. Exercise helps to increase metabolic rates and burn more fat. Try synchronising your carbohydrate intake to the amount of exercise you do per day. More exercise = More carbs and vice versa. Do more static exercises, and also interval training if you have a gym nearby. Also, try walking as much as possible, 10,000 steps a day, on top of the exercise. Jogging helps, cycling also helps! Any exercise is better than none :)

I hope all these tips help! The process might be slow, but rather than losing the numbers on the scale, it's important to be healthy! All these tips will really help you become leaner and look fitter. Stay healthy and all the best  :chu:
