Do I wish she wouldn't have said those things in the past? Yes. Do I hope she learned her lesson though? Yes. But I'm not going to condemn her forever for those things. If you only hate someone for what they do in the past, they can't learn and move forward. You have to encourage them to be better and become a better person. So many of you guys can hope your faves learned like Taeyeon,Tiffany, CL, Taeyong, EXO, etc. but when it comes to Camila you jump on her. I'm just the same! I love all of 5H since 'Worth It' got me hooked and I hope all of them are successful because watching their journey from X-Factor to now they really are sweet girls. I wish things didn't turn out so divided between them but they're still friendly at concerts if you watch them interact (Normani and Camila have been having fun together for a while now on their tour btw). I don't get the hate about her wanting to do solo stuff though? It doesn't mean that she's gonna leave the group, I mean it might say in her contract that she can do solo stuff while being in the group just like our K-Pop groups do it all the time? And yes she's extra but Ally is just as extra. And plenty of idols in K-Pop groups can be extra too (cough Tiffany cough). noon 20,968 Posted October 12, 2016 Share Posted October 12, 2016 i can always appreciate someone who is a work in progress, but i feel i ke her management isn't helping her on that front. granted most of the stuff i've heard from her is from ot4 stans. and i don't think people dislike camilla simply because she's problematic, nope that's just an excuse. if that were the case then people would not stan beyonce, katy, gaga etc. people dislike her because she is perceived as being a selfish, self-serving bitch. not saying it's true but the problematic things are just a topping on the cake of what people perceive to be a nasty attitude. that's the difference between why generally more people dislike taeyeon over hyoyeon despite the fact that both have said/done problematic things. taeyeon has a reputation of being moody, which people latch onto. again i don't know much about her outside of the fact that she's pretty and very short. but that's the reason why so many people, who stan equally problematic folk, are willing to drag her for being problematic--because before anything they just dislike her as a person. Whenever a member of a group starts to go solo, it usually mean the group will disband. 5H just started achieving recognition and fame after their reflection album and that's when they got a big chunk of their fanbase too. People are just scared of them going too soon. As far as Camila getting hate, I think half of it is just because she's so popular - the old saying is true; the more success you obtain, the more haters will follow. At one point, most were upset that Camila was being pushed so feverly while the others weren't receiving and kind of individual promo (a familiar tact in KPOP), but things have changed since then. Even line distribution has evolved. She's the girl to hate and people will find any reason to drag her, but her fanbase is the other 50% of her problem. They're like their own club and they have created a barrier of animosity between them and the rest of the Harmonizers and individual member stans. Honestly, I would compare them to ARMY's as being more problematic for their fave than supportive without even knowing it. Remember how they drove Normani from social media with racists comments and pictures (literally sent her pictures of blacks being lynched and raped and shit) because "she was mean to Camila" by saying that Camila was cute and quirky and not giving her enough praise like she did the other members in a interview. And she didn't even call them out on it (Lauren sure as fuck did), instead only tweeting something like supporting me doesn't mean dragging others. Everyone on that group feel like they would step on each other the first chance they get to have the spotlight to themselves. Their interviews look like a war to see who gets the most screentime or gets the most attention. Camila released one freaking song with Shawn Mendes and it broke the group apart. None of them is a genuine team player, it doesnt matter what their flaws are, it doesnt matter if Camila has acted shady in the past the other 4 arent any better. As nice and woke Mother Lauren is, as sweet (yet stupid) Beyonce Dinah is, as kind Ally is (I think she's the nicest, personally), and as talented Normani is they all want that solo. But I think we have to keep in mind that they joined the X-Factor in mind of becoming solo artists.
