No that's not what a pathological liar is at all. And they aren't doing it to 'enhance their standing' so much as to survive and have an equal shot at a career as their straight counterparts. The amount of LGBT people I've seen or heard of being abused, harassed, treated different makes me lose faith in humanity. Idols survive off their image, in a country like South Korea where homosexuality is seen as taboo their image would be ruined. Withholding the truth can be define as lying too. I feel like they are misleading the people (whether intentionally or not) of what they really are. But of course this is just my opinion.
