Pretty sure she lived off his child support all life though. And most divorces kids go live with the mother. She joins him on the campaign trail because she wants to herself.

You don't have to like the person that financially supports you. Plus living with her mum is no excuse to her only getting to see her father for two weeks out of an entire year.  She very well might have joined the campaign trail because she wants to and she agrees with his views but it's no stretch of the imagination to think she did it because if she didn't she might get cut out of the money. Her occupation is listed as heiress and she's fresh out of university. It'll be hard to be on her own without his money at this point.
