Playing With Fire 353 Posted October 10, 2016 Share Posted October 10, 2016 I have some groups names in my mind, writing it like the method they use to write SNSD, BTS, TVXQ and WJSN: Red Velvet - ë ˆë“œë²¨ë²³ - RDVV (original: RDBB) Monsta x - 몬스타엑스 - MSTX (original: MSTes) Black Pink - ë¸Œëž™í•‘í¬ - BLPK SISTAR - 씨스타 - SST Winner - 윈너* - WN Gfriend - ì—¬ìžì¹œêµ¬ - YJCG Wonder Girls - ì›ë”걸(스)* - WDG(S) Miss A - 미쓰ì—ì´* - MSA (original: MS ei) Big Bang - ë¹…ë±… - BB Lovelyz - 러브리즈* - LVLZ (original: LBLJ) The words with * are words that I'm not sure of their right spelling in Korean so correct me if I'm wrong please^^ The ones with 'original' are just like TVXQ case with DBSK ^-^ So which one is your fave? silicon soul 19,457 Posted October 10, 2016 Share Posted October 10, 2016 The thing is that groups like SNSD and BTS are their romanized and initialised Korean names (So Nyuh Shi Dae and Bangtan Sonyeondan). Most of the groups you mentioned have English names as standard and braking then down to syllables doesn't really work unless you you have multiple words (eg Sistar doesn't work as SS while Big Bang as BB does).
