Hip-hop duo Epik High member Tablo has revealed that he used to be best friends with Chinese actor Nicholas Tse and even got kicked out from school together.

The 29-year-old singer appeared as a guest on MBC's TV show "Gold Fish" on Wednesday, saying he was best friends during middle school with the actor who is currently also Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung's wife.

"We both used to fight a lot with this one Caucasian guy at our school for about a year," Tablo said. "I didn't like him because he always used to turn off the music I was listening to and make fun of it."

"I wasn't there but one day, Nicholas got into a really big fight with him and I got expelled along with him," said the singer. "I think the school didn't like me because of our past fights."

Tse, also a singer-songwriter and musician, has appeared in scores of films including "Dragon Tiger Gate", "Gen-X Cops" and "New Police Story", a collaboration with Jackie Chan.

Tablo is the leader of the popular hip-hop group and is set to soon tie the knot with Kang Hye-jung, a popular actress who rose to stardom for her role in "Old Boy" by Park Chan-wook which took the Grand Prix award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2004.

Epic High visited Hong Kong recently to be G-Dragon's guest at his concert. Tablo used to be good friends with Nicholas Tse when they studied together in Canada, when asked if he had heard of Nic's songs and whether they still keep in contact? He said: "I have heard of his songs, but we've lost contact, not long ago he filmed a movie with Jang Dong-gun, he asked how I was through him, if he sees this report, I hope he can contact me again, we have mutual friends, we can definitely get in contact again." As to whether he will invite Nic to lunch? He hesitantly said: "It's already been 10 years since we last saw each other, I wouldn't know what to say if we saw each other.
