Are you applying to university this year?

Yes.

My applications aren't due until December but I'm already having trouble with them because wtf are those questions? "Tell us an experience that taught you something about yourself." "Explain a problem in your life and how you dealt with it."

Good luck with your application!

nope... already in university, but i haven't started yet because i'm taking a gap year. good luck to you!

and for reference, are you american? in australia we receive a score (a percentile to be exact) that ranks us nationally, and then we select our preferred degrees (university, and degree) from 1-5 on a website and a few months later we find out what we were able to get into. i'd hate to apply to each university separately lol, ew

For me I don't need to do any applications...

Just put down your preferred courses at whatever uni and just pray you get enough marks to get in. Or change it after the results come out to something you can actually get an offer for.

I've already given up, and my final exams are starting in two days  :rlytearpls:

Yes smh. I hate the applications process here because there are so many schools to choose from and I have to pay $75 each time I apply

It's OK, I'm sure things will work out just fine for you.

I've been there, it was a really stressful time in my life back then, lol. I remember that I fought with everyone in the house because I was stressed and I just went crazy, idky

But everything was just fine, or more than fine actually. I've graduated and I've applied for the master program and got accepted :D

Oh hey! A fellow Aussie ^^ But don't we get up to 9 preferences?

I started out so confident when putting down courses, and now I'm not sure if my atar will allow me to get me any courses I want... I'm so done with this T-T

i think it might depend on your state? i did WACE, and i was only able to select 5 (iirc)

and i'm sure you'll be fine! hopefully! if you don't get into what you want to straight away, you can try go for second round offers or through an alternative pathway, as we seem to have a lot of those. i'm was so happy to be done with ATAR. the min entrance for my desired course was like 70-75, so i wasn't too stressed about things in the first place though. good luck with any exams you may have~ i can smell the ATAR exams all the way from spain

Ah i didn't realise that different states allowed different amounts, I live in nsw :)

we can change our courses after we get our atar though so it's not too bad, though to make matters worse my umat score was somehow okay so my mother thought it would be a brilliant idea to put down some med courses despite the fact that it's actually impossible for me to get in with my internal marks :P
