How's your attendance in school?

Well school just started not too long ago so its too early for me to judge right now, but before I recall my teachers complaining once how I miss too many days. That's the only thing that really affects my grades since I do well in class.

Wouldn't they make you repeat in that case?

I got straight As except for 2 subjects, so I was promoted nevertheless. But despite being promoted, my ungrateful ass still skipped school until I completely stopped going for months :imstupid: but again, on the basis of my decent grades, they said I could return. But I'm honestly kinda scared lol because I've had depression for years so I've never been able to concentrate and my doctor says now that I'm recovering, my concentration will be even worse (which I can attest). That's why I'm kinda afraid of returning. It's gon be the national exams and I'm in the better/faster stream I don't know how badly I'll do when my foundation is nonexistent. Ok sorry idk why this suddenly turned into some kind of rant >_>

In high school I went 99% of the time because if we had less than three absences and a certain grade in a class we wouldn't have to take the final. In college so far none of my professors take attendance because my uni is huge and most of my classes range from 100-600 students... half the class stopped showing up for some of them, I still try to go but if I have a test I'll sometimes ditch to study.

its good im there 90% of the time my high school is a little different if i keep missing more school days it could really damage my grade and  the absences would be a bad number  but in elementary and middle school didn't really care except for 8th grade

I'm glad to hear you are recovering~

I'm not sure where you go to, but for us you could apply for bonus schemes/points etc if you have had difficulties that would have prevented you from performing to the best of your ability. Since your depression has affected you for a while, I think that's more than enough grounds to see if you could repeat or apply for something that would help you.

I was lazy af in high school and I never wanted to go. I missed so much they punished me by not allowing me to go to prom (which was fine because I didn't want to go anyway  )

But now in uni they actually lower your grade and/or fail you if you miss too much, so I go. The classes are actually interesting now too, so that makes me want to be there.

Like 5 times a month and I limit it at that. There is no particular class I skip on, I just skip when I don't feel like it.

Also, I forgot about my statistics class last year after the first week and missed the whole semester. Just took summer classes to fix it up.
