waycrispy1 3,434
I know that they want to proudly display their affection for their bias, but these ads are such a waste of money. How many charities can you help with all the money that is spent on a Times Square ad? I think Lay would much rather they use it towards a good cause. I'm saying just in case you didn't know, Their first birthday project for this year is to 'Financially support a school' And they do charities all year (every month). These projects are for his birthday and solo promotions. Doing it just for him and his music (just for his birthday). SM doesn't promote him or his music much... this is all the fans could do. I know that they already do a lot of charity support, but Times Square? it's not a major brand with a huge marketing budget, but fans' money that could be much better spent elsewhere. How is a few seconds of promo in a city where barely anyone knows who he is going to promote him? It's just all for show. Nothing against Lay's fans, but in general, it's what I find most appalling about Asian fan culture.

I m sure there are many Asians in NYC , infact NYC is full of asians/chinese and giving a promo won't hurt anyone, also they are going to play his song i fail to understand how it is a waste of money

Just him having TS adds makes news everywhere, so it is promo for the places he actually promotes,... and very good promo much better than the one his own management agency (SM) has done which has been almost none.... and I'm appalled by your comment because in recent days I've getting bombarder by all the amount of charity xingmis have been doing for this special date, but they also do it through all the year, so your complain feels flat, unfounded and tbh unfair

yxsodamncharming 1,461
WOW WOW WOW! XingPark is impressive! A Times Square advert after all the nationwide publicity in 31 cities in China, the adverts in Seoul and multiple charity projects. One more day to Yixing's birthday and single launch. I wonder if XingPark has any more projects in the pipeline...

But they've done it.... not only in Beijing but multiple cities in China, I would spam you with all the tweets with all the LED screens projects XingPark's done but it's too much work, and it hasn't been only LED screen but apps, ticket machines, even botes.... Perhaps because Yixing's target had always been the international stage, not only Beijing and Seoul. (in any case, they have already done a lot in China and Seoul) Yixing is ambitious. I'm glad to see that his fansites, especially XingPark which has been with him even before he joined SM, are equally ambitious in their support of him.
