why do companies debut idols and then neglect them?

1. don't all companies want maximum return on investment which would require them to promote artists properly?

2. if they're debuting them cause they're getting older maybe just don't accept trainees then??

3. if the public isn't receiving them well, then maybe work on it?? promote them well.

4. i'm talking about only big companies. i know small companies can't afford to.

i don't get it.

the big three/ big companies are all about expanding their brand. it's quite clear they often bite off more than they can chew in their need to grow and maintain  the big three monopoly. it becomes quantity over quality for them. and yg is just an all around shitty company.

at the end is all about money. If you have only one or two groups that are big in your company the members of the group are going to expect that you paid them a lot and, if the group decide to leave the company, you lost it all.

On the other hand, if you have a lot of groups with a moderate grade of popularity, you can pay them less and, if they leave, you still have other groups to back you up.

OP can we have an idea which group(s) exactly you have in mind with this thread?

DSP is by no means a big company anymore, they tried their darndest to promote Rainbow and Ajax hard when they first debuted (source: i was a huge fan of Kara when Rainbow debuted and was watching out for their little sister group) but don't have the resources to keep throwing at groups that just couldn't 'click'.

It makes me so mad as an RV fan how unfairly they're treated, especially in comparison to NCT. (thankfully my other two rookie bias groups are doing nicely in the management area since GF's SoMu's only group and JYP is doing a fantastic job promoting Twice)

It's business and they have priorities. Of they belueve that a group could return their investment, they'll invest. But if they don't, they'll just promote them with things that they have already. Why spend money on group that you don't believe, when you can gain profit even with small investment with them? Better put the money on the one that you're certain will bring more big chunks..
